About

I began my career in Nashville, Tennessee, serving as a judicial clerk then practicing in a mid-size law firm for three years. In my private practice, I represented employers of all sizes in employment litigation, employment law compliance matters, and commercial litigation.  My work spanned numerous industries, including contractors, newspapers and television stations, retailers, music companies, transportation companies, and healthcare companies for employers located in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana, Texas, Michigan, and Florida. The work I performed for employers was interesting and kept me busy, but let me feeling empty.  In late 2005, my wife and I returned to our hometown of Paducah, Kentucky to address some family matters. I spent an unhappy year as a law professor before deciding to help real people and small businesses in the real world by opening the Sullenger Law Office.  In September 2017, I merged my practice with Boehl, Stopher, & Graves, LLP in order to be able to provide even more resources to my clients. I represent people who have been illegally mistreated by their employers, government agencies, and others as well as small businesses wrongly accused of misconduct.  This work gives me the fulfillment I lacked in my earlier defense practice -- I work hard for people who themselves worked hard but got knocked down unfairly by a company that held power of them because of their employment relationship.

I was wrongfully terminated by a Fortune 100 retailer and Mr. Sullenger did a phenomenal job taking on their corporate lawyers. He was extremely well prepared, thorough, and his manner impressed the judge. I am convinced that his professionalism had a huge impact on forcing a quick settlement. More importantly, he helped me navigate the emotional turmoil associated with this kind of case. He didn't see me as a pay check or a case number. The day I walked in to his office I gained a true friend, not just an attorney.

Wes kept me in the loop during the entire process. He was always very upfront, honest, and his firm genuinely cares about you as a person. Great choice in attorneys! I will always recommend Wes to those needing legal services!

Wes is currently working on a case for me. As a an attorney Wes keeps his clients informed on their case, is always available to answer any questions and concerns and makes his clients feel like a human. Wes has a true passion for the law and for doing what is best for his clients.

Wes was willing to go to bat for me and was very insightful during the whole process. He gave me the distinct feeling that he was "on my team."
