My experience with attorneys dates back to the late 50s when I first began working in the legal field,  first as a receptionist, then many years as a legal secretary and paralegal and later as a law office manager. Workers’ Compensation is high volume and the nature of the workload simply does not allow for an attorney to respond to every single inquiry from a client that may come up at various stages in litigation, while also making frequent court appearances and depositions. For those reasons, a workers’ compensation attorney must rely on the support of legal assistants and staff to communicate regularly with clients and address issues that commonly arise in workers’ compensation cases.
