About

Hi, I’m attorney Dennis Wilson of The Wilson Law Firm.I’ve spent more than five decades building up my California law practice. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that people facing legal trouble often experience high-stress levels and extreme anxiety. That’s why I treat every client with respect and every case with the utmost care. When you’re facing unknown consequences amid tense situations, your attorney must be dedicated, prepared, and thorough in identifying and quickly seeking the most favorable outcomes. That’s my goal every day – to bring every case I work to the most favorable conclusion possible for my client.I took the California bar exam in the Fall of 1968, became a licensed attorney in the State of California in January 1969, and returned from a tour of Vietnam with an honorable discharge in 1970. Since then, I’ve never looked back or regretted my decision to give everything I have to help my fellow Californians when they’re in a legal tangle. If you’ve made a mistake or find yourself facing legal consequences through no fault of your own, don’t hesitate.I’ve represented clients in Sacramento County, Solano County, Stanislaw County, Placer County, El Dorado County, Amador County, Butte County, Monterey County, Marin County, Tulare County, San Joaquin County, Yolo County, the City and County of San Francisco, Los Angeles County, San Diego County, Fresno County, Orange County, Riverside County, Yuba County, Sutter County, and Lake County. I’m passionate about helping people just like you navigate the California justice system. Your case is not just another case to me – every case is different. You can expect me to consider every detail and create a unique legal strategy based on knowledge, experience, and the exact results you hope to achieve. Dennis Wilson has counseled me through a divorce and represented me in a successful personal injury case all within the past 5 years. Dennis has led me through the legal processes, depositions, court filing's with patience and conviction. Dennis has impressed me with his knowledge of law, thoroughness and integrity. I highly recommend Dennis for any family law or personal injury litigation.

Dennis Wilson represented me in a child custody matter and following seven (7) days of trial my ten (10) year old son was moved from Arizona to live with me full-time in Folsom, California. Dennis did a wonderful job and I witnessed a highly skilled trial attorney represent me with integrity, conviction, and compassion. I highly recommend him for any family law or business litigation. Not responsive. Not worth his incredibly expensive hourly rate. Doesn't seem to care about the case or have any strategic approach to helping you the best way possible. His office does not respond to correspondence in a timely manner.

It's not that this lawyer is necessarily "bad"--he's not anything. Totally unresponsive to his cases (I just had him for a family law dispute against my ex-wife) and he let it languish there for over two years. It's almost impossible to get his staff to respond to anything, beyond taking your retainer. Getting them to serve paperwork, motions, etc. or even return a simple email was like pulling teeth. If you want an attorney who won't add stress to an already stressful process and who will actually do their job, pass this one by.

Incompetent, irrational, unstable, unpleasant to deal with. He spent more time on firing me than he did on my case. He charged me $18k for an injunction; that's it! Had he continued as my attorney I'd have lost the case. Luckily, that did not happen and I prevailed. He filed the case in the wrong county then charged me over $500.00 in fees discussing changing venue with the opposing attorney. How's that for irony?!!!
