I was referred to Dennis by an acquaintance who also practice law in Seattle, but not Family Law as I needed. Dennis took on my complex case regarding de facto parentage as well as a divorce from an extremely difficult person. He stuck it out with me for the near 3 years it took in court, covid and opposing side delays. Dennis shines with a challenge. His knowledge and research are beyond thorough and legal arguments are compelling. He is at home in a courtroom (in my case zoom courtroom) and is so laser focused on your case when it is active that he would remember the history better than I would! And I really appreciated that he loved to explain the case law and how it applied to my case. My ex tried to take half of my pre-marriage life’s savings, including my home. He got none of it. Thank you Dennis. I’d also add that Dennis is brilliant with more complex financials, including stock options (and I am a 20+ year finance executive), so he’ll have that covered. The de facto parentage case is the complex one as the laws are new or not clear and still developing. Dennis is personally taking on the appeal process to get clarity in the law so other de facto parents and their children don’t have to experience the challenge I did. Dennis is both passionate about the law and truly cares about his clients and wants to do everything he can to help. I am forever grateful.

Unfortunately, I can only give Dennis McGlothin 5 Stars – he merits 10 stars. My family law case has become known among King County Judges and Commissioners as one of the most contentious divorce matters on record, spanning over a 10-year period. I had all but given up on the King County Court System and justice being served on my case. Then I found Dennis. Dennis knows the system and how to get results. He’s an excellent strategist and knows how to frame a legal argument that wins! Be better than me, start your family law matter with Dennis McGlothin!

Dennis represented me in an extremely contentious custody battle and was able to pull out a win after a 9 day, against all odds trial. He is in my opinion the best family law trial lawyer in this area. Obviously I highly recommend.

Dennis represented me in a very contentious divorce and post-divorce ongoing legal and court issues. My original lawyer would have been 'good' under less highly contentious circumstances. However my ex-husband worked at Microsoft and at least initially had all legal expenses paid by them so did not worry about legal costs. When Dennis became my attorney representing me things took a radical turn for the better. In court he is fully prepared beforehand, knows the law inside and out, and simply does not allow various tactics to fluster him. He is a laser and he prevails for his clients. I finally was in a place of feeling like I could let some, or even a lot of my worries go because I was in the BEST hands. Additionally as soon as Dennis became my attorney and we had a few rounds in court with my ex-husband; I believe it became clear to him and his lawyer that things were not going their way. The legal battles have died down immensely and returns to court have not happened.

This lawyer represented me and screwed up my case royally. I prefer not to leave personal details of my case and my life on a public forum and I do not want retaliation from him so I will refrain from disclosing too much details. He collected money from me, made promises about his abilities to perform but could not pull it off. Overpromised and underdelivered and accosted me greatly! If you like to have more details, contact me.
