About
I am a graduate of the University of Arizona College of Law, and I have been practicing in Tucson ever since. Before law school I attended Brigham Young University and studied Bioinformatics. While in law school I also earned a MS in Genetics from the University of Arizona. With my legal training, diverse technical background, and 10 years of experience in the software and hardware industry, I offer business client's a unique understanding of technology and the life sciences. I handle matters in the following areas: Intellectual properties (patent, trade mark, copyright, and trade secrets); business strategy and formation; commercial real estate; commercial litigation, bankruptcy; and estate planning. When I'm outside of the office, my wife and I take an active role in the community. For example: we help run a local nonprofit youth athletics program together with a few of our friends and neighbors

Our company has worked with Todd on different legal areas he is thorough and takes his time to make sure we are comfortable and informed every step of the way. Thank you Todd!
As the Personal Representative of an Estate in Arizona, I retained the law firm of Breen, Olson & Trenton, LLP to probate the Will and guide me in all Estate matters. Todd Jarvis, an employee of that law firm, was assigned to provide all of the legal services in this regard. I reside in New York State and I dealt with Mr. Jarvis on many occasions by phone, fax and e-mail over a period of more than two years. There were a number of complicated matters involved in this probate proceeding, including intricate tax matters. Mr. Jarvis handled all matters related to the estate in a professional manner and was always accessible and promptly responsive to my numerous questions. He also recommended an accounting firm that I retained to deal with the many tax issues. He acted as a liason between myself and the accounting firm I retained to work on the estate. He made my work easier and brought the finalization of the estate matters to a successful conclusion. He is well spoken and highly intelligent and was a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him.
I will be brief by saying that Mr. Jarvis immediately understood what I was asking him to do and the nature of what had to be done. With very little direction from me he did all the right things including skillfully playing a winning chess game with our opponent's attorney. I might add that he also did that with careful concern for what his time would cost me. He is not just technically good, he is intellectually good.
We were the complainants in a dispute settlement case involving damages to our home by an incompetent contractor. Our case was well documented, witnessed and supported by state and county entities. We enlisted Mr. Jarvis to negotiate a reasonable and fair sum to repair the damages. Although we provided Mr. Jarvis with a detailed and complete list of repairs & expenses, he excluded a significant dollar amount from the negotiations without informing us in advance. He also failed to reveal to us, in a timely fashion, a key condition of the case that compromised and negatively impacted our negotiating position, causing us to have to accept a much lesser settlement than we deserved. It became apparent, albeit too late to correct the above errors, that Mr. Jarvis was no match for the seasoned and professional council of the opposing party. At this point it was our decision to retain a second, more experienced attorney to oversee, review and significantly revise the final and biased settlement agreement that was prepared by the opposing party and simply passed through to us by Mr. Jarvis. For our case, Mr. Jarvis couldn't have been more ineffective.
