My ex filed an emergency ex parte order which the court holds hearings on pretty fast. He also requested child support. I was so lost in the process as things happened suddenly and had no representation during the first two hearings. I was lost as to what was happening or why it was happening. I requested a consult with Denise who called me back. I'd spoken with a few attorneys before getting to Denise, none of which gave me the time of day other than to say they worked in family law and what their rates were. During our consult, she took her time to explain (although I'd already been to court twice) what was happening, ask me me questions to ensure she understood specifics related to my case, and then explained what defenses we could present and what the process would be moving forward all before I paid her a dime. She was honest in that this may not be a fast process, transparent, and most importantly (especially as I have never had to deal with family court before) sympathetic. Although we are still in court, she has been able to get some pretty nice wins - legal rights such as educational and medical access, ex was interfering with my ability to communicate with our child. Denise was able to argue this and have judge order him to purchase her a cellphone so I could communicate with her directly. ALL of this was done in her 1st court appearance on my behalf! She calls prior to court hearings to make sure we are on same page with strategy, what may possibly happen/what to expect and what we're going after during the hearing. She also calls to debrief after court hearing with next steps. Denise representing me has given me hope where it felt hopeless before and helped me to understand more about the process where I had zero understanding and knowledge.
I was representing myself for a post judgement issue concerning child support arrears and child support modification. My ex was very difficult and I realized that I needed professional help. I am so glad that I was able to find Denise. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, responsive, and professional. She explained everything clearly and came up with strategies. Her rates are very reasonable and she gives results quick! She argued eloquently in court. My ex was not paying child support and was trying to reduce the existing child support. With Denise's help I was able to collect full child support arrears. In addition, the child support amount more than doubled! I am beyond happy with her service. Highly recommended!
Denise is highly experienced beyond her years and skilled in dealing w child custody issues. She is patient and thorough in her response to the opposing party and knows exactly what to say. Denise not only helped me from the legal aspect but was able to diffuse some of the tension in my high conflict case. I would highly recommend her for family law and child custody situations.
Denise is professional and compassionate about what she does. She helped my son and I with school issues, and not only explained how the school works to me, and guided us to success, but also has guided the school in clarifying laws around disabilities and 504 plans. Happy to be a reference and would recommend Denise for your school issues.
We were in a very hardship situation since early September due to the dispute with school district. We were forced to hire an attorney and luckily ARAG recommended the local attorney Denise Perelli-Minetti to us. She is very nice and professional. She has very good patience to listen to our long story and review all the documents we provided. She directed us what to do step by step. What's the most important thing is she quickly grasped the key point in order to deal with the school district. She helped us to win back the right to go back to the public school and we are more than happy with the result we were trying hard to get. Beyond that, she also reminded us again and again what else we need to do besides to deal with school district. Based on her experience, she taught us how to get extra support from Regional Center and etc.. which is far beyond the legal case. We highly recommend Attorney Denise Perelli-Minetti. We will definitely work together with her if there is any other legal issue we have to seek help. All our whole family will sincerely thank you very much!
Denise is a caring and knowledgeable attorney. I am a Financial Advisor, divorced 5 years. But my case continues as it pertains to child and spousal support and my ex wanting to modify and/or stop all support. Denise was very helpful in her advise, through careful listening and thoroughly analyzing the situation with probing questions before giving recommendations. She understands the sensitivity and realizes all cases are not cookie cutter cases. Thank you Denise for your invaluable advise and support.
We have an issue with our Neighbors. I contacted her regarding our options. Initial call was good but once I sent the deposit for fees she did not do anything. She always says I am busy, but if you are busy why you accepted the case at the beginning? We kinda lost hope she will do anything. Do not send any deposits unless you are very sure she will do what she tells.
Do yourself a favor and find someone else. Task was a Conservatorship for our disabled child. Met with Denise in Aug 2019, she agreed to handle the Conservatorship with the statement in an email from her assistant of, "This is why Denise went to law school so she could help those like your son." We waited for follow up, none ever came. I called and emailed and received excuses for the delays related to holidays, health and eventually the Pandemic. 8 months later (April 2020) we had finally had enough and requested that all documents be returned to us, and that she provide an update on any actions that she had taken on our behalf. We received nothing...for the simple fact that she did nothing for 8 months...well, except to delay a process that was important to our family. Do not be fooled...the term incompetent and reprehensible comes to mind, especially considering her understanding of the stresses that occur to a family when dealing with special needs related matters.
This lawyer that I used through my work legal service ARAG took my credit card information right away in case I would be layed off! Then she made me sign that she would represent herself and charge me according to her fees in case of disagreement. In the middle of preparign my trust, she dropped me and charged 500 $ on top of all 8 hours through the pan.
