Denis Scinta is a joke. If you want to waste your money and get nothing done in the process, he's your man. He NEVER calls you back or responds to your emails unless it's at least the 3rd time you've tried to get hold of him. He doesn't fill you in on what is going on with your case and sometimes doesn't even let you know when there is a court date. We went to trial and needed another trial date to finish. He took his merry old time to set another trial date because he wanted the summer off....it was 8 months later and we still didn't have one...this case has been going on for almost 2 years and it still isn't finished....we needed 3 things done and in that time none of them were taken care of....then we found out by ourselves he was no longer with the firm...he didn't even have the decency to call and tell us! When we finally got hold of him he offered to finish the case on his own with another retainer of $3500.00 for starters! I think not....time to retire Denis because you suck as a lawyer! We will now be getting a lawyer who will actually do something!

I found Mr Scinta to be very lazy and unconcerned. He barely did the min! Honestly. He seemed like an elderly grandpa who Fuddled his way threw - when I was asked to testify the other parties atty was actually snickering under their breath at him and rolling their eyes along with the other party. It was embarrassing. Not sure if he caught it himself.... But maybe he should have and realized its time to retire! When it came to billing --'he didn't miss a trick. I wouldn't hire him again if he worked for FREE! Pass on this guy

Failed to come to court on day of scheduled hearing; sent inexperienced, junior associate instead who stated she was not prepared to represent me, did not know the case. When court date was rescheduled, he was not prepared to go forward (would not review evidence or give me a pre-trial meeting), so date was cancelled and I had to refile, which dragged out another six months. Wish I knew of a professional, responsive, competent attorney. Cost me over $7,000 so far and still no results. Would change attorneys in a blink if I had the money to. Calls himself "efficient" when instead he is neglectful, irresponsible.

Made decisions without discussing it with me first. He cost me $8000 and my kids were taking away from me after raising them for 12 years..

Mr. Scinta was very frequently late (30-60min) to scheduled court appearances. Out of approximately 12 court appearances, he may have actually showed up for 6-7, most of which he was on average about 30 minutes late for. On 5+ occasions he sent a Jr. attorney, who knew nothing on our case, to court to appear in his absence. This also included our final appearance when the Judge was scheduled to give her final decision after almost a year long court battle. The woman he sent that day had not yet even open our case file, had basically no knowledge on the case what so ever & did not even know mine, my husband's or my daughter's names. I do believe that the final less than favorable ruling rendered by the Judge on our last day in court was largely due to his frequent tardiness & absences to court appearances. The judge, on more than one occasion, expressed her frustration with this stating that he was wasting her time & on one occasion, after waiting for Mr. Scinta to arrive for almost an hour with no contact to myself or the court, actually made us reschedule for another date 3 weeks later. Don't waste your money. I gave this man way more of mine than he deserved.
