Debra was referred by a friend. She was responsive and immediate. I had a DUI case in MO, 2-3 traffic violations in KS, and was currently on probation in KS. For all that was going on, she charged a low reasonable amount and was very flexible when it regarded finances. She helped me resolve all cases/violations. Thanks to Debra!
Debra Healy was recommended to me and ended up being the most unprofessional and unresponsive attorneys ever. It took 7 months to serve my husband and mind you, we still lived together. It took another attorney to take a look at things and tell me that the paperwork that was filed was either incorrect and some, such as the parenting plan, was not filed at all, hence the reason he wasn't served. It was normal for her to take 3-4 weeks before responding to a simple question via email and don't even try to call her. I even had to reach out to the person that referred her as I hadn't heard from her in almost a month to see if they would reach out to her. Once found, her response was that "I'm in and out of court, or I had my grandchildren". I mentioned to her time after time that I needed someone that I could call/email that saw fit to get back with me in at least 3-4 days and give me an update, tell me something, keep me informed because I'm paying you and that the living situation was uncomfortable. It never got any better. Her last response to me was "will you be at court tomorrow?" I told her to just cancel the entire divorce proceeding. Unfortunately, I'll have to pay someone else again for work that I've aleady paid her for. The attorney that told me that everything was all wrong offered to take my case if Debbie would give her what she'd already done. Debbie asked me to pleae let her "finish the case." I agreed, but only if she'd drop the price as it was ridiculous for the service I was getting. ...Long story short, I didn't listen and ended up paying over $1k to wait 7 months to get my husband served and some papers filed. I've asked for some sort of refund as I had began paying her in Oct 2013, no response. *I've never left a review for ANYTHING, but this was really shocking.
