About

I began my professional career in health care as an administrator in the renowned BJC System in St. Louis.  I was the initial Executive Director for a joint venture among 13 St. Louis Hospitals, 60 urologists, and both local schools of medicine, Washington University in St. Louis and St. Louis University. The endeavor is named The Midwest Stone Institute. I did not select the name. We established it as a kidney stone treatment center with the research of new technology - kidney stone lithotripsy in 1985. It remains a vibrant medical institution to this date providing treatments for a variety of symptomatic internal calcifications. You can review my contributions from 1985 to 1995 at http://www.mwstone.com/history.php.I also served as Administrative Director for Cancer Research for the Ozarks, another health care joint venture. This team included multiple hospitals and cancer doctors in Southwest Missouri. While under my guidance this community clinical oncology program, (or CCOP) a National Institutes of Health grant-funded, achieved multiple national awards for excellence in cancer research.These directorships are the reason that I pursued certification as a Health Care attorney by the number one Law School in Health Law. That honor belongs to St. Louis University School of Law which works with the university's school of medicine to provide a setting for internships for hands-on health law experiences.I do not limit my practice to health law. I have developed my expertise in a number of other areas in business and personal law.
