When I got arrested for drunk driving with a BAC of .12--colliding with 4 other vehicles on the road--I was anticipating 3 or more months in jail. There was also felony charge on the table, which Dave managed to have the prosecution drop. The prosecution wanted at least 30 days of jail time, however, Dave talked them into CalTrans in place of jail time. Moreover, Dave managed to cut the sentence in half so that I only had to serve a total of 15 CalTrans.

I cannot give a higher recommendation for Dave Swanson for which I was a defendant in a domestic violence case against me. As soon as the incident occurred I immediately consulted with 4 different area defense attorneys that all claimed to be “expert domestic violence defense attorneys”, but before even hearing all the particulars of my case they all wanted their retainer fee right away and to make matters worse, (if the case were to result in a trial which it very well could have) some weren’t even qualified to go to trial on my behalf. The legal process is very complicated but fortunately a friend recommended that I give Dave a call, and to say that I am relieved that I did is an understatement. I am convinced that without Dave’s expertise and knowledge of the OC court system, I would have a Felony Domestic Violence case on my record, a no contact restraining order from my spouse and possibly my children, a year in jail, major fines and of course the loss of my livelihood and everything I ever worked for. Instead Dave got the felony reduced to a misdemeanor and I received the absolute least amount of penalties EVER--No protective order, no jail time, no major fines.
