About
David Shaw graduated with Honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1985. He was an Associate Editor of the Connecticut Law Review and the recipient of the AmJur Book Award and the Edward L. Stephenson Memorial Prize, both for civil procedure. Following his admission to the bar, Attorney Shaw took on a one-year Judicial Clerkship for Federal Magistrate Judge Arthur H. Latimer of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Since then, Attorney Shaw has represented clients before various courts and tribunals including the Superior, Probate and Appellate Courts of Connecticut, the Superior and Supreme Courts of Rhode Island, the Supreme Court of New York, the United States District Court for the Districts of Connecticut and Rhode Island, the United States Bankruptcy Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the Workers Compensation Commission and Compensation Reviewe Board, the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), the EEOC, and the United States Adminstrative Law Judge (Black Lung).Attorney Shaw's practice has always been concentrated on the representation of individuals and small businesses.
