I would like to take a moment to let the public know about my experience with Attorney David Milstein and his firm. I had a very unique situation where I had been burned by an attorney that took my money and did not complete my bankruptcy. I came to the firm with fears. First I had a consultation with David where he gave me advice on the best way for me to go and he assured me that my worries were over. The entire process went flawlessly. In addition, any problems that I had with other collections afterwards David or his assistant Cheryl made sure that my issues were resolved. They also made sure that I understood why the issue came about. I would like to recommend David Milstein as your comforting, and accurate bankruptcy attorney.
I just want to say, that I have read the other reviews and these people are complaining about things that are ridiculous. I have dealt with Mr. Milstein for over 5 years, and everything he has informed me (and other clients) of are accurate. Everything is broken down at in the retainer agreement and in every document he has ever sent me, shows everything he has done for me. When I call, I get answers. It may not be directly from Mr. Milstein, but that is why he has staff. I don't know who Ms. Nokisian? is - they have never had someone there by that name, so that person doesn't know what they are talking about. I have developed a great rapport with their office and have heard stories on how clients need to read their documents and how important it is. These reviews on this type of site are only written on when people are upset that their office didn't jump fast enough for them and the good things they have done are never listed. If your case if failing, they fix it and in my opinion, they shouldn't have to get your permission to try to get your case completed and get you your discharge. Would you have rather failed your case rather than them fixing it? The point of filing is to get your life back on track. They care and take it personally when clients don't respond or care themselves. Mr. Milstein's office does a great job and tracking and keeping me updated. I would rather pay for that service than to have an attorney I never get answers from and have my case fail because I had a lazy attorney. I have had a different attorney at one time and always got an automated voicemail and never received a call from and my case failed. Here I get someone, and I get a call back and I get the answers to my questions, with detail info. His secretary will sit on the phone with me as long as it takes to help me understand what is going on. I highly recommend them. They are really trying to help you. I don't need to talk to Mr. Milstein "himself" to get accurate answers. His staff is extremely knowledgeable. The reason you call is to get an answer to a question you have, and I get my answer, every time. I don't care from who. I have no problems with their office policies or procedures and don't think you will either.
I wish I had read these reviews before.Never would I send anyone two this firm. They suck.
I hired David to do my bankruptcy in 2009. After it was all over, I kept getting letters from the State of Michigan unemployment that I owed them money. I was told by many iT is covered under the bankruptcy. I kept calling and calling and calling David and his staff for help to no avail! All they had to do wad submit a simple form to the court to correct this error and it would have been over with! But they never did, kept blowing me off and not helping me even when I told them what another attorney dais about that form. I never got the help I needed for David. Very very discouraging. Very very disappointing. I ended up having to pay tons of money back that should have been corrected by David Milstein simply submitting the form! !
I do not recommend this attorney or this office at all, when I went to him there were no online reviews!! . But, I'm here to tell you today (you have been warn) do not waste your money or time. First of all, Mr. Milstein, will not talk to you once your case has been confirm!! However, he will review your case if you are in a Chapter 13 three or more times a year at a whopping $1000.00 on top of his $5000.00 fee to handle your case. Mr.Milstein staff member Ms. Sherlyn Noskitan? Very unprofessional, screaming at me on the phone, because I question her about excessive fees for reviewing my case and never being notify my case was being reviewed at $260 an hour or total charges of $1000.00 from my funds. No, I do not recommend this questionable practice at all.
I cannot recommend Milstein because if there is a question or any paperwork needing to be done afterward he will not assist. His sec Courtney is rude and annoys easily to the point after given the run around with her when I called back I was told to hold for Milstein and disconnected. I called back but was told she was on another call. I never received a call back. This is an important matter which for whatever reason they refuse to provide me with the required paperwork
Amended my plan without my consent! Communication is seriously lacking. Basically after my case was confirmed he did not return email or phone calls.
