 David Lozier has been practicing law in Western Pennsylvania for 24 years. He started his own practice in 2012 [LozierLaw.com] emphasizing wills/estate planning and elder law while continuing his long standing practice in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. David Lozier began a corporate litigation practice as an associate at the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll in 1988, then worked with prominent personal injury attorneys including Frank Conflenti for 4 years from 1990-1994 and Harry S Cohen for 16 years from 1994 to 2012. A graduate of the College of William and Mary and its School of Law, Mr. Lozier has spent most of his career in complex personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, both in trial and appellate advocacy. His proudest accomplishment is a two million dollar verdict in Allegheny County for a negligent facial surgery which left his client with a lifetime of pain. Notable seven-figure recoveries for his clients have also included the fields of highway and workplace safety. Mr. Lozier travels the rural roads of Western Pennsylvania, serving his clients and frequently appearing in over twenty county courts on their behalf. Mr. Lozier successfully won the first appeal court decision declaring the medical insurance companies which manage health care through nurses on call were subject to malpractice could be held liable for negligent advice to patients. Mr. Lozier lectures in the field of medical malpractice and medical record confidentiality, particularly to physicians’ assistants, paralegals and medical technicians and nurses.Mr. Lozier was a helicopter pilot in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division and in Cold War Korea. Mr. Lozier and his wife, Beth, reside in Beaver County, PA with their two daughters. He is active in Chippewa United Methodist Church, served for ten years as Patterson Heights Borough Council President. He is currently a Member of the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee and the Vice Chairman of the Beaver County Republican Committee.
