As luck would have it, (if you want to call it that), I’ve had quite a number of relationships with attorneys. All have been with respect to civil actions, and some were good, but most fair to terrible. So much so I even created a website to list the worst ones. I recently found myself out of my element when I was charged with a felony by a corked former DC homicide detective with an axe to grind. I found myself in need of a criminal attorney, and I found that despite the questionable allegations I was now facing, I needed to take this one very very seriously. I’m 57 years old, have a security clearance, and have never been charged with a crime till now. But having had so much misfortune with “some” prior attorneys, how do you go about finding a good one? Well amazingly enough David Grover’s office found me. (ya know, even at 57, Mom says she says prayers for me every night, I guess I’m going to have to concede and give her credit for this. Mr Grover gave me plenty of time to go over the history and issues, and even let me ramble with it probably wasn’t even legally relevant. He’s a busy guy, and does a lot in the community I’m told. I was recently at the local courthouse supporting a friend with substance abuse issues and the problems that often follow. The court officer (I guy who said he’s bee there 30 years) , took me out and said, if your friend needs a good attorney, here is a good attorney. Very nicely dressed guy. I explained to him, trying to defend her is not the goal in my view, its getting her into a treatment program that cares for their people (not Arlington county,… butt hats a story for another day). Anyway, I told him, as good as you must be, and being recommended by a court worker of 30 of service, I don’t need your talents I’m afraid. But I do have one question. Have you heard of this David Grover guy I was just put in touch with?? He said, “yes I do, you’re in good hands” So hear this, the date was Friday Jan 14th, and David later told me he had a chat with the state attorneys office over the felony the day prior (Thursday) and was expecting a follow-up. So I happened to look online to see if this detective had managed to get any new charges files (I failed to mention he has a new partner ( and this guys called to attempt to extort me too) and he says this millionaire partner has 4 high paid attorneys that were going to get me tossed in jail, lose my clearance, my job, and my life (yea that’s what this former detective said). The detective character and his partner (big tall, dark hair, with strange kinks of lighting people on fire) and absolutely no relationship to Chloe Decker and Lucifer (really cool characters) has made It quite clear. (to be honest, they are fire massages, but still, they get actually lit on fire) Who is this detective, well if I mentioned his name, someone would probably go online, and see that DC Police dept has been hauled into court numerous times on lawsuits with this detective as the sole defendant! And then said the defendant would probably try and claim some sort of slander (after all, he had some sort of government employee immunity, so you know,… the Rodney thing….). So, I’ll just all the detective “Goliath” Good News, no new charges (thinking… sigh of relief) BETTER NEWS – apparently that Friday while I was in court helping my friend, and doing my due diligence asking about Mr Grover,… that state attorney was processing my felony into the circular fil, or the legal term “ State's/County Attorney's Notice to Nolle Pros” ( thinking …. My best investment ever) So, from the latest rant texted to my cell phone, (that my attorney had to silence), it seems Goliath is very very pissed, and there will definitely be more battles to come. But I have David, and I’m in good hands. I'll follow up when all is over and let you all know if the story ends the same as it did thousands of years ago. Patrick
