My case was highly complex due to several factors, including: baseless allegations of abuse, a DVTRO and custody involved a special-needs child (Down syndrome). Mother had two attorneys (from separate firms) representing her case and my child had a court-appointed Minor's Counsel. Multiple DCFS investigations favorable to me. In addition to a highly experienced family law attorney, David's background and PhD in Psychology made him the perfect attorney for my case. My situation required two separate trials to address: (1) the DVTRO in 2020 and related baseless allegations of abuse filed by Mother, and (2) the second trial in 2021 to revise / update the permanent child custody orders. Mother and I were never married. We enjoyed joint custody of our child for 10 years prior to these trials. The DVTRO trail took 5 days. David became familiarized, versed and educated in the terminology / vernacular of the Special Needs Community & related Behaviors. David had an amazing team of paralegals and attorneys assisting him in preparing for my case. Given his experience & reputation, David also had access to the very best expert witnesses, which were very important to my case to address opposing counsels' Expert Witness. Mother was seeking sole custody and to permanently remove me from my Child's life. The DVTRO trial lasted five days. David was always prepared for each day's hearing; his questioning of both opposing and friendly witnesses was always respectful while focusing in on important and critical issues of Family Law and Case Specific issues. It was readily apparent that David's approach and decorum in the Court Room earned him the respect of the Judge, opposing Counsel, Minor's Counsel and the Witnesses. David seldom raised Objections during our Trial and was seldom (if ever) overruled, when he did. During the preparation for our trial, it quickly became apparent that David is highly efficient and productive in both his prep for Trial and during his questioning of witnesses. David quickly hones into nuances of the legal and/or testimonial parts of each witness (saving his clients unnecessary legal / trial costs). For example, I originally provided David with a list of 23 witnesses. By the time we went to Trial, David had convinced me to reduce the list to 6 witnesses. Our judge issued his ruling one week following the Trial and granted me Sole Custody of my Child. Upon conclusion of the DVTRO Trial, the 2nd Trial, to issue Permanent Orders, took place in 2021 (by this time, both Mother and I were seeking sole custody). Concurrent with the first trial, Opposing Counsel submitted their request for attorney fees (in excess of $90,000), which David was able to point-by-point refute through a combination of Case Law as well as the Merits of our case. Our Judge denied the entire request even though I was the far greater income earner between the parties on a scale of 4x to 5x Mother's income. Similar to the first Trial, David and his Team were equally prepared to establish my Case as to why I should have Sole Custody of our Child. While both Parties agreed to a 5-Day trial, David did such an excellent job questioning witnesses, including Mother, the Judge informed the Parties he did not think our matter required the full 5 days after the 2nd day of Trial. The Parties agreed. However, David insisted on being able to provide one additional Key Witness to support our Case, which the Parties stipulated to. Our Judge issued his Final Ruling granting me Primary Custody and Sole Legal Custody of our Child. The Judge also ruled that I would no longer need to pay Child Support. Similar to the first trial, no attorney fees were awarded for the 2nd Trial. I give David my very Highest Recommendation. I am more than happy to answer any questions about my case and David's handling of same. If your case requires a Great Attorney, hire David!

David Glass is outstanding at what he does. He is direct, clear, calm, and most importantly his outside the box approach to my case was so effective that I saved time, money and the most important thing, I had peace of mind. Once I hired David, I was at ease with my case because I knew he would handle it. He was worth every penny. I highly recommend his services, and will be referring him to anyone looking for a family law attorney.

I met with Mr. Glass when I realized the attorney I'd originally hired to represent me was not going to be able to win my case. I was in a high conflict divorce and custody dispute with a narcissist and was about one year into the battle when I consulted with Mr. Glass. He immediately understood the nuances my ex-husband's personality disorder and how they had/would negatively impact our young child which was one of the primary reasons I was fighting for more custody. Mr. Glass was honest and realistic with me from the start. He let me know that my case was a difficult one, that narcissistic abuse is largely invisible and that it is not a type of abuse that is widely understood, especially within the legal system. That being said, he also told me that he thought he could get me more custody and that he wouldn't take my case if he didn't think he could win it for me. I was grateful for his integrity and I felt respected due to his transparent communication style. Mr. Glass understood from the start that my primary concern was the safety of my daughter and ending the ongoing post-separation abuse. He never lost focus on my goal, despite opposing counsel's repeated attempts to distract, minimize, over-litigate, and muddy the waters. I appreciated Mr. Glass' background as a psychologist as I feel it gave him the ability to communicate to our Judge exactly what was needed in order to get more custody by showing a pattern of behavior. He was able to show, not tell, the Judge in a way that made it easy for our Judge to see the truth of an otherwise complex and confusing situation. Mr. Glass knew exactly which Judges would be best to achieve the desired outcome, and was able to strategically (and with a little luck) get our case heard by a fair Judge. He also knew which evidence to include, which witnesses to call, and how to distill it all into something our Judge could comprehend. Mr. Glass was amazing at the trial. He asked exactly the right questions, in exactly the right way. He eviscerated my ex-husband during cross-examination.... I actually felt bad for my ex! At the same time, he questioned him with such grace and class - he was a true professional and a gentleman. In the end Mr. Glass got me the outcome I wanted..... full legal custody and almost 80% physical custody of my daughter and an equitable settlement. After two and a half years of anxiety and fear I can sleep well at night knowing my child is safe.... and that is priceless.

I usually don't write reviews on anything but David is more than deserving. First impression: his office was well-managed despite COVID, paralegals responded promptly and then I received a call from David. After speaking with David, I stopped paying for other legal opinions. He captured the essence of my case immediately and charted a course for success for a complex case involving two states and a military relocation. He negotiated travel arrangements to maintain my 50/50 physical custody agreement until the hearing and during the hearing, completely hammered home my position with solid, convincing arguments. In court, his oral arguments were buttressed by well-built legal written arguments and exhibits within our declarations. The judge agreed with our side and preserved 50/50 despite my ex-wife's escalating attacks on my character and parenting abilities. I can honestly say anyone who seeks counsel from David will find someone who understands the system, understands people, and will invest himself, as you are invested, to ensure you receive the best possible result.

Divorce is hard. I've only done it once, but i've watched from the sidelines hundreds of times. Usually, lawyers escalate the situation. David did the opposite. We went to David seeking a mediated divorce, instead of an adversarial one. We had a pretty specific outline of how we wanted to divide things. David helped us think through the implications. He pointed out things we hadn't thought of, but he also respected and nurtured our agreement. He filled in the things we hadn't thought of. We raced to agreement. Even the most amicable divorce isn't that amicable. It's fragile. David was the best. I couldn't be more grateful for his style, his approach, his no BS. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

David represented me in my divorce. First, he overturned the unfair prenuptial agreement that I had been forced to sign, and which severely limited my options. Then, he got me a fair award of support for myself and for my children. Then, he helped me through a custody evaluation that ended up with the best protection for my kids. He has taken me through the hardest year of my life. No words can ever express how grateful I am for all the amazing hard work he has done for me and my children.

David Glass is an amazing family law attorney. He is extremely professional in his manner, courteous in his approach, and primarily interested in the most direct way to get to the core of the legal issues at hand. He is an exceptional trial lawyer in custody / move away cases. In fact, I sincerely believe that if David had not represented me, I would not have received the Court’s permission to relocate from Los Angeles with my daughter. Mr. Glass met with me many times to listen to my story so he could organize my complicated custody case to emphasize the core legal, emotional and factual issues. There were no false promises, and he was confident, throughout, of what he could do for me. Mr. Glass was able to look through the depositions and the Custody Evaluator’s report –which did not go in my favor--to locate the facts we needed to construct an attack on the Evaluator’s conclusions, and to prepare a strategy for the trial. He spent time with me and my witnesses (including time on nights and weekends) to learn as much as possible from us, so he could then “boil it down” to the message that needed to be presented to the Court. He essentially helped me tell my story to the Court in the way that the Court would understand and would want to adopt. And, his unique ability, due to his past experience and training as a PhD-level therapist, to dissect the Custody Evaluator’s report, find mistakes, and also show the Court how the court’s psychologist mis-interpreted much of the data proved to be the winning factor. David helped change my daughter’s life for the better, and in so doing, helped me, my husband, our son, and our extended families, too. There are no words to describe my respect for his gentle courage, wisdom and professional expertise.

Most attorney's lack participatory skills, that is because the law is a foreign language to most they take charge and dictate what you should do.This has two drawbacks.First, and most importantly you will always know the facts of your case better than any attorney and if you are not an intimidate part of the story construction your attorney will inevitably miss things. Second, your cost will be way more than they should be. Not all people can do this, but for those who can David Glass is one of the few attorneys out there that will check his ego at the door, and put you in the drivers seat, albeit always keeping a careful eye on things. His unique background in psychology and law is especially useful in child custody cases and he is thoroughly honest. I have won and lost with him but I have always felt well represented by him.

My case was highly complex due to several factors, including: baseless allegations of abuse, a DVTRO and custody involved a special-needs child (Down syndrome).
