About
Partner, Attorney at LawDavid Eastman, born in Provo, Utah has traveled the world gaining an appreciation for the diversity of cultures and a profound understanding of the importance of families. With over 15 years of estate planning experience himself he has had the opportunity to serve thousands of clients and protect their legacies from being depleted due to probate costs, unnecessary taxation and long term care costs. He has had the opportunity to serve clientele such as attorneys, doctors, engineers, farmers, small business owners, athletes, non-profit organizations, as well as what he considers the regular every day family trying their best to protect what they have worked so hard to accumulate during life.In 2005, David joined the law firm of Morris Hall and by doing so also joined America’s most prestigious estate planning organization, the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA). Through his many years of affiliation with the AAEPA he has been able to rub shoulders with and learn from some of the most distinguished estate planning attorneys in the United States. His membership in the AAEAP required him to have 36 hours of continuing legal education annually, in the field of estate planning. In July of 2020 David decided it was time to break off on his own and start his own estate planning practice. He appreciated his time working for one of the nation’s largest estate planning firms at Morris Hall, but wanted to serve his clients in a more intimate way that only a smaller firm can. Upon his departure from Morris Hall David became affiliated with the top estate planning organization in the United States- Wealth Counsel. He is proud to be affiliated with such a distinguished group of estate planning attorneys both nationally and locally here in Arizona. This keeps him abreast of the most recent law changes and some of the most groundbreaking planning techniques used in the field of estate planning to date. There are only a handful of attorneys in the entire state of Arizona that belong to this prestigious organization and David is proud to say that he is one of them.David’s true skill is taking what often times can be a very complex, overwhelming topic for clients like estate planning and making it very easy and comfortable to understand. Indeed, clients and attendees at his numerous estate planning seminars have often said he should have been an educator. His practice exclusively focuses on the area of estate planning. He has assisted thousands of Arizona residents with setting up trusts, wills, powers of attorney, asset protection vehicles, IRA protection instruments, health care powers of attorney, living wills, mental health care powers of attorney, HIPAA forms, tax minimization structures and many other estate planning tools.David is a frequent speaker for various public and private organizations. He enjoys educating the public about estate planning and the importance of establishing a personalized plan. He has spoken to veterans groups, non-profit organizations, senior living facilities, financial advisors, CPA.s, adult learning courses, local clubs for seniors, church groups and has appeared on local news stations to discuss the importance of proper planning. David recently presented a webinar intended for other attorneys, on Guardianships and Conservatorships. https://youtu.be/V5I6PwOOi5MDavid currently serves on the Board of Trustee’s for the Sun Health Foundation. The Sun Health story began over 50 years ago, when a group of West Valley residents gathered in an effort to improve the overall health and wellbeing of those in their community. Their support through Sun Health Foundation funded, built and opened Boswell Memorial Hospital in 1971, and Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital in 1988. In 2008, Banner Health acquired both hospitals. Since then, Sun Health has been the exclusive fundraising arm for both hospitals and Banner Sun Health Research Institute. Being a part of such a great organization is something David is most proud of. He is a resident of the West Valley and serving this community is something he is very passionate about.David resides in Goodyear with his wife Kimber, their four children, and two dogs. He loves to play tennis, pickle ball, and to be on the lake in the summer time with his family. He is very involved in his church and enjoys serving. When he is not in the office he loves being outdoors and spending time with those he loves the most- his friends and family.EducationDavid started his education at Brigham Young University Hawaii and graduated from BYU Provo with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During that time he spent two years in England doing volunteer work for his church. In 2003, while attending California Western School of Law, David received the Wiley Manual Award for his pro bono services for the San Diego Volunteer Program.
