Mr. Burbidge is a top notch lawyer and represented me extremely well during my divorce and custody case. He is trustworthy and provided sound advice. He was also realistic in expected outcomes and was both fair and up front with costs and recommendations. I trusted his legal approach wholeheartedly and he relentlessly supported my cause and determination throughout representing my case. He also provided superior legal expertise and pursued advise of peers or experts when things were outside the scope of his current knowledge or experience. I highly recommend Mr. David Burbidge without any reservation and would not hesitate to hire him again.
I hired David to represent me in my divorce case. David always gave solid, accurate advice, whether I wanted to hear it or not. He made very clear what was possible, and could tell me what likely outcomes would be depending on the path we chose to pursue. In particular, what I appreciated about David was that he limited our discussions to just the facts, and didn't try to work as a faux therapist while my bill racked up unnecessarily. He was very efficient in communications, and this kept the ultimate bill fairly low. In fact, my total bill was nearly a third of what my ex was billed from her own attorney. I would absolutely hire David again, and was glad to have his help with this case. While I didn't get everything I wanted, in the end, the settlement was fair, I was able to keep 50/50 custody of my kids, and kept half of the assets in our estate. I wouldn't have been able to do so without David's help.
I have had a professional relationship with Mr Burbidge since 1997 when I retained him for a child support case. Since that time he has represented me in multiple hearings, contempt & custody modifications. I believe that he always has my best interests in mind each time we prepared for court. I have never questioned his decision making, reasoning or recommendations and he has shown all of the patience that has been needed to earn the best outcome in all of my cases which I had a hard time with. He has done many wonderful things to help make my children and myself have a better quality of life. When I'm asked if I know of a good attorney by any of my peers, I always recommend David Burbidge.
I had a very positive experience working with David. I found him to be knowledgeable, trustworthy, a good communicator, responsive and personable. I would highly recommend David.
Maybe I should give two stars, after all, he helped me with some criminal charges, but when it came down to hiring him when I needed his expertise in saving my family, in the end, he really failed miserably. Long story short, after going to trial, the judge awarded me the winning verdict. I was elated!!! until one second later when Mr. Burbidge stood and objected... WHAT?! Yep, you read that right... my attorney objected when I won. The judge reminded him that attorneys don't normally object to their clients winning, and he stuttered a bit and sat back down. In the meantime I am at a loss for words and understanding... And when the judge changed his decision... well, I still haven't gotten over that day, or the fact that Mr. Burbidge, as he was packing up and leaving, rubbed my shoulder in a very consoling manner, which only further confused me, and said "Why are you crying? We won."
