Darlene came highly recommended to me as a fair, but tough if necessary, attorney. She didn't disappoint. Although my case was pretty straightforward, she went above and beyond to argue very necessary points, and on items that I did not want to bend on, and she won! As well as being very smart, she is pleasant, kind, and got back to me in a very timely fashion. I would highly recommend Darlene in ALL capacities!!
Darlene help me through a very difficult and challenging time. She guided me through the financial dealings of a legal separation. She also gave me guidance emotionally. She told me what I could expect in terms of the separation agreement, and how the process works. Emotions can run high when separating/divorcing. It was nice working with someone I trusted and felt safe with and who I respected.
Darlene was awful. She did not seem very interested in my case, and appeared to win no concessions for me. I had to go out of town for work. I gave 2 months notice, and was told it would be fine. On my drive down, I was called and asked where I was. I was furious!! The documentation present by the defense for temporary alimony was completely false, and I still pay more than 1/2 of my income!! What a joke. Cost $10,000 for a 30 month marriage turned into a 9 month divorce with no kids, no common assets, and no alimony. How is that possible??? I have friends who paid much less than that and they had more to deal with than I did.
