DANNY L. SCHROEDER, JR. began practicing law in 1982 and is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Iowa. He was born and raised in Washburn, Illinois earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois in 1978 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois in 1981. Dan began his career in 1982 as an Associate at Bartley, Parkhurst, Frasier & Hession and later become a partner and the firm was thereafter known as Bartley, Parkhurst, Hession & Schroeder. In the late 1980s, Dan was a partner in the law firm of Littler, Renner, Moon, Pitzen, Howard & Schroeder and the firm eventually become Littler, Renner, Howard & Schroeder. During 1993 Dan practiced law as the professional corporation of D.L Schroeder & Associates, before joining Hinshaw & Culbertson as a partner in 1994. In 2001, Dan joined his current law firm of Hasselberg, Rock, Bell & Kupper as a partner and has happily practice law there ever since. Dan concentrates his practice in the areas of landlord-tenant (with emphasis on federally subsidized public housing, federal Section 8 housing, eviction and discrimination defense); collections; mechanics liens; real estate foreclosure; commercial and residential real estate transactions; corporations; business; bankruptcy (creditors’ rights); commercial litigation; estate planning; municipal law; and domestic relations. Dan has lectured regarding landlord/tenant rights, retail wheeling of electric power and natural gas transportation. He has also lectured to various health care organizations concerning health care directives. Dan has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association since 1982, the Peoria County Bar Association since 1982 and the Iowa State Bar Association since 1999. Dan was a former member of the Governing Board of Directors of Catholic Social Services of Peoria (now Catholic Charities of the Peoria Diocese) from 1985 -1994. He served from 1994-2002 on the Governing Board of the Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens (f.k.a. "Parc") now EPIC, having served as its Chairman as well as past Chairman of its Foundation Board. He is also past member of the Professional Advisory Committee to the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation Council. Dan is married and has two grown sons.
