We had the privilege of working with Danielle for our marriage green card process, and from the first moment Danielle took our case she has been very professional with every step on the way. She is very clear in her communication, and very well organized with planning things ahead and filing things. The quality of taking the journey of this very complicated process with Danielle is like taking a very long distance flight in the comfort of your private jet which makes a great difference compared to the regular flights :) Thank you very much Danielle for your great ethics and professionalism. It has been a very smooth and lovely journey for us.
Danielle is a rare gem in the sense that she has an incredible understanding of complex legal matters and tempers that understanding with extreme compassion. I have never encountered an attorney with her kindness and gentle temperament. It is so important to have counsel that understands your matters, ours being business related, that also makes you feel so comfortable. Danielle is truly out for the best for her clients and is a long term relationship builder rather that just transactional. I not only recommend Danielle but endorse her completely as immigration matters are not only complicated but emotional. You can count on Danielle to approach each concern with honesty, integrity, ethics and compassion.
Danielle was prompt in her response to my request for help and filed the paperwork the same day. She followed up with regular communication to my questions. We were very happy with her services and would recommend her to anyone looking for assistance with E3 Australian work visas.
In June, 2009 I went to Bangladesh and Thailand to be with my dad who was suffering from kidney diseases (Diabetic, Heart Surgery, High Blood Pressure patient). In Thailand, while having her regular check up, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. I was devastated and postponed my return to New York indefinitely even though I was a green card holder. It took me 7 months to return to U.S.A and therefore I felt I lost my 5 years continuous residency here in U.S.A. I called a few well known lawyers in New York and all they told me was, “Sorry, you have stayed more than six months and therefore you have lost your 5 years continuous residence. There is nothing we could do.” I still have the receipts for the legal consultations for which I paid $50 each. Being upset and feeling hopeless, I searched online and found attorney Danielle Nelisse. Reading her blog, I commented in a desperate attempt to get help. She wrote back and offered me help and a discounted rate knowing that I was a full-time student. She stated that the if I was out of the USA for 7 months it would be up to the Immigration Officer, after looking at my evidence, to decide whether I had disrupted the continuity of my residency. I decided to give her my case but it was not an easy decision for me. While I thought she understood the complexity of my case, I could not meet her in person. She has her offices in CA and I live in NY. To make sure that she was a real lawyer, I felt I would have to fly to CA to check. HEY!! Anyone can make blogs and have a phone. I took the risk and today I think it was the best decision I ever made. I got my citizenship last Wednesday. Attorney Nelisse made sure that she submitted all the evidence necessary to win my citizenship case. My N400 citizenship file was almost 900 pages!! Being in NY and CA was never a problem. She called me many times to make sure that I was sending her the necessary papers. I was little bit slow to send her the documents she asked for because of my school and work schedules. I would say that she was pushy in a nice way to make sure that she got all the necessary paperwork from me. So distance was never an issue when communicating with her. She did an awesome job from beginning to the end. Danielle, thank you for your help, Rocky [Removed by Avvo Staff] [Removed by Avvo Staff] [Removed by Avvo Staff]
What I liked the best about attorney Nelisse was her attention to detail. She prepared a very strong case for my green card and made sure everything was perfect, even the tiniest details. I could tell she spent a lot of time working on it and that she knew what she was doing. In the end, it paid off and I received my green card in only a couple months and did not have to undergo any interview. Overall, I was very impressed with attorney Nelisse.
I have had the great pleasure of working with Atty. Nelisse and therefore have seen first-hand the tremendous amount of dedication she puts into her work. I highly recommend her as a lawyer and as well as a person. Danielle will go extra mile for a client. She is fair, knowledgeable, honest and easy to work. Also, her office is conveniently located the Mission Valley area of San Diego, CA. Least but not last, you will be dealing with a professional and extremely responsive lawyer. You never have to wait a whole week to get a response to your e-mail or phone call.
