Daniel J. Keating, J.D., is an associate attorney with Stockton & Stern, LLC, and is primarily engaged in the practice of Family Law and Business Law.Mr. Keating takes a holistic and hands on approach to all of his cases, and this is especially true for his family law clients. Family law is a very dynamic and fast-paced area of the law where many clients get caught in the whirlwind of emotional issues without ever even considering the long-term effects or consequences of their actions or inactions.  As such, Daniel takes a broad look at the overall circumstances in order to help you achieve realistic and long-term solutions to the issues in your case while providing you with the much needed counsel through what is often the most difficult time in your life. Daniel has successfully represented clients in all areas of domestic relations law, including paternity determinations, simple and high net-worth divorces, post-decree child custody and support modifications, contested grandparent visitation rights cases, and the preparation, negotiation, and enforcement of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.    Mr. Keating has also helped his business clients in many facets of the law—from formation to dissolution and everything in between. This includes the preparation, analysis, and negotiation of numerous purchase agreement transactions, franchise agreements, buy-sell agreements, independent contractor and employment contracts, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, commercial leases, personal guarantees, and other related documents.  His business clientele includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, car dealerships, construction contractors, photographers, and liquor stores.  He has formed several non-profit corporations and has helped each of them apply for and achieve 501(c)(3) federal tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, he has further assisted tax-exempt organizations that had their tax-exempt status revoked get reinstated and provided them with the necessary policies and procedures to remain compliant with the IRS rules and regulations.Daniel is a member of WealthCounsel, a national alliance of business planning attorneys, as well as an active member in the local Knights of Columbus council.
