My experience with Mr. Habenicht bears no resemblance to the other reviewers. I've engaged him for services several times in the last two decades--everything from civil suits to will preparation to estate probate. I have found him to be professional, knowledgeable, ethical and reasonably priced. His services have been invaluable to me.
I had a very complicated divorce situation. Mr. Habenicht did the best he could to represent me. However, my wife's attorney misrepresented the facts and provided inaccurate and incomplete information to the Hamilton County Court. The Hamilton County Court based their ruling on the opposing attorney's material false statement and my case was dismissed in Tennessee. I'm disappointed in the Hamilton County Judge that dismissed my case because he listened to fabricated lies rather than the truth.
I, like this former client found same similarities in my case. It was like he wanted opposing counsel to handle my side of my case. Many things he should have investigated were never done.
Daniel was laxidasical in his approach even with the desperation expressed by myself at every turn. I asked him multiple times over 9 months if he had children because he never seemed to have sympathy nor empathy. Regardless of potential outcomes I believe family law attorneys should have a heart for those they represent. The nature of child custody battles tears the heart out of your chest. To have an attorney who blatently is "bothered" by his client was heart wrenching at the least. He always let the opposing council make all calls as to the direction of my case. He had no problem making me feel like a horrible mom on a regular basis by discounting 90 % of my concerns. He would never challenge or stand up to another attorney on my behalf. Money wasted and I left him feeling like less of a woman and mom. I felt as though he was always laughing at me behind my back.Don't find yourself in my shoes. ..steer clear of Daniel Habenicht.
