About
I am a U. S. Army combat veteran and was commanding officer of my Army Reserve unit while a law student at LSU, Baton Rouge. I prepared and filed my (firm's) first bankruptcy case as a law clerk with the firm of Tureau & Mire, Gonzales, La., during my Sr. year in law school. I also wrote my first appellate brief for that firm in a child custody case, and we (the firm) won the case, reversing the decision of the trial court. I have never stopped working. In my practice I have continued to handle practically all areas of general practice, with an emphasis on bankruptcy, criminal defense, serious injury & wrongful death. I have in my experience nearly 15 yrs. as a Public Defender and over 11 as an Asst. DA. I have extensive juvenile law experience. I was certified by the La. Indigent Defense Assistance Bd. as trial lead and appellate lead counsel in death penalty cases. I have handled countless midemeanor and family law cases. I have extensive appellate law experience, with innumerable writs and successful appeals filed and argued in higher courts. I am admitted to practice before the U. S. Supreme Court. I am well known, so ask someone you know about my dependability.
