About

I was an artillery officer in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star and two medals for valor.  I studied history, language and politics at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and when I returned from Vietnam I continued my studies at Tulane University in New Orleans and in Europe.  My first job after the Army was as a university lecturer in England.    I returned to the U.S.  and became a tenured associate professor of history at Loyola University in New Orleans.  I took classes at the law school and earned the Juris Doctor degree in 1987.    I was honored to be chosen to clerk for Chief Justice  Pascal Calogero of the Louisiana Supreme Court.  Thereafter, I was employed by several law firms at the associate level.  In 1991, I started my own practice and have developed a specialty in employment law.  I am admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and all state and federal courts in Louisiana.  I have lectured on employment law to other members of the bar as part of Loyola University's Continuing Legal education program and have spoken at Bar Association functions in Covington and Slidell.   I truly enjoy practing law and feel it to be an honor to be able to help such good people as my clients are.   My wife and family are a big help.  I've got five children, three grown and two (son and daughter) in high school.
