Craig Turner is a capable and strong advocate for his clients. He is talented and capable in court and in financial matters. He is respected by many past clients and by judges, lawyers and court personnel. He knows exactly what needs to be done and does it right the first time. Mr. Turner is trusted and manages difficult clients well in and out of court. I highly recommend him.
I retained Craig W. Turner for my divorce. He made the process much easier to deal with. Craig is extremely knowledgeable and didn’t just tell me what I wanted to hear. Rather, he gave me realistic expectations as to timelines, division of property, alimony, child support and visitation. Once everything was finalized, what Craig advised was “on the money” at the end of his representation. Given his experience, knowledge and reasonable advice his fees were extremely fair. I never felt he kept me on the phone or in the office beyond covering what was necessary, answering my questions and obtaining the information required from me to handle my case. I would highly recommend Craig to anyone, and I have.
I ended up calling Craig after my attorney at the time was slacking and taking to long to accomplish what I needed. I live out of state and the time difference is 6 hours so it was/is hard communicating with anyone on the East coast. But, Mr. Turner would continue to contact me after his working hours on his personal cell phone and through email to accommodate me and answer any questions that I had. He acted right away as soon as I hired him, studied my case and got all the additional information he needed from me right away. Within two weeks he got me a court date and made arrangements for me to appear via phone. While waiting for the court date to come, Mr. Turned tried to get my ex wife and her attorney to settle so we wouldn't have to go to court but we ended up not being able to settle and had to go to court anyway. During the court hearing Mr. Turner represented me in the most professional way and defended me every way he could, without ever meeting me except through email and phone calls. He made this experience so easy for me and I could not have hired a better attorney to represent me. Mr. Turner presented my case to the judge as if he was fighting for himself and for that I am very thankful especially since I wasn't there. The judge agreed with Mr. Turner and I got everything I asked for. Mr. Turner even requested the judge to order my ex wife pay my legal fees since we should have never been in the court in the first place since we already had divorce papers and a visitation agreement that she didn't want to follow. I didn't ask Mr. Turner to fight for my attorney fees but he did which I thought was very nice considering he was already paid in full by me and didn't have to waste his time by going above and beyond to represent me and to get my ex to repay what I paid to him. In the end I will be using Mr. Turner in the future as well as recommend him to all my friends and family in the Ocala area. Some say he is expensive but I say he is worth every penny plus some. If you are looking for a professional attorney that will defend you all the way to the end as long as you are truthful and honest with him about your case then you should call Mr. Turner's Office, you won't be disappointed!!
Only cares about figuring out how to take as much money from you up front. They do not care about your case. Only hire this attorney if you have tens of thousands to spend. So far I've spent $4010 and they have done nothing to benefit me. They actually hurt my case and don't care. I would recommend seeking a different law firm.
This attorney shows no human empathy. He did not keep me informed, and seems to have no real knowledge of family law. By far the worst representation I have ever had.
Mr. Turner would be an okay attorney for a divorcing couple with absolutely zero controversey. Do not expect Mr. Turner to fight for you, nor to have any empathy for you or your children. He will make everything fair for both you and your ex, even if "fair" means completely unfair to his client. My view of him is somebody that want's to keep his reputation clean and friendly with his colleagues in the Marion County Legal System - and that means not fighting for his clients. My biggest concern is that this attorney has not educated himself about Domestic Violence; which I think is a topic that should be number one priority knowledge for a divorce attorney. Mr. Turner was my attorney for three years, in which he did nothing to fight for me or my child. Phone calls and e-mails would not be responded to. It would take on average three calls or e-mails before I would finally receive a response from him or his Legal Assitant. I supplied him with folders and binders of information to help my case, but he did not seem to even look at them because every time I spoke to him, I felt like he was learning my case for the first time. And please note, he was my attorney from 2009 through the end of 2012. Mr. Turner's services were finally terminated by me, because of his lack of professionalism towards me, as his client. His e-mails were soaked in sarcasm. I am sad that I trusted this professional to represent myself and my small child in the most difficult time of my life, and I was treated with such disrespect and I feel such a lack of justice.
