About
After becoming one of the youngest graduates of Brooklyn Law School and the managing editor of her law school journal, Michelle Will began her legal career in civil law, conducting corporate mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring under Chapter 11.Ms. Will then turned her focus to criminal law and became a Deputy District Attorney for the County of San Bernardino. In this role, she prosecuted dozens of criminal trials, and successfully argued many different types of evidentiary hearings such as motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, felony preliminary hearings, etc… In addition, Michelle was effective in settling thousands of cases in their pre-trial stages. Michelle's caseload as a prosecutor covered a broad spectrum from misdemeanors to more serious felony matters. On a daily basis, Michelle's duties brought her in contact with other prosecutors and defense attorneys, judges, local police agencies, the Highway Patrol, investigators, criminalists, and many others involved in the criminal justice system. She earned a reputation as a fair, but tough trial prosecutor, with a high success rate in criminal jury trials to verdict.Once she left the District Attorney's office, Ms. Will began using the winning skills she developed as a prosecutor towards developing a thriving criminal defense practice alongside her husband, Court Will. Ms. Will has been dedicated to understanding her clients' needs, defending and fighting for their rights for over 16 years now. She successfully defends against all types of misdemeanor and felony cases running the gamut from her focus on Domestic Violence accusations and Assaults to DUI's, Drug Cases and Simple Thefts to more serious crimes such as Aggravated Assaults, Weapons Related charges, Sex Crimes, Murder, and much more. Michelle Will is a top advocate for her clients.

Earlier this year, while I was in jail my mom contacted Michelle Will and I'm very happy with the outcome! I could tell she really cared, she was very understanding, kept everything professional, and frequently check up on me to make sure we were up to date on how the case was going. I had a assault 4th degree domestic violence case and she worked with my mom and I to make sure minimal damage was done from the case which lead to my SOC (Stipulated order of continuance with conditions) and no charges. I'd highly recommend Michelle and her team!
Michelle Will helped me with an issue recently. I was impressed with her knowledge and immediate response to all my questions throughout the entire process . The entire Will & Will team were on top of it. Highly recommend!!!
Michelle and Court represented me in Shoreline’s legal system. They were able to negotiate a dismissal of charges. They did an outstanding job and I would recommend them to anyone.
I retained the services of the Will & Will criminal defense team during the most life changing experience of my life. After an unfortunate event, I was sucked into the mammoth of the legal system, all for the cracked corner of a phone case. My particular situation was a bit more complex, with moving pieces outside the legal realm. It is from this experience in which my summary is derived. After my arraignment, I had interviewed over 10+ criminal defense attorneys to represent me in my case. Not only was Michelle the most empathetic attorney; she was also the most trust worthy. She quickly synthesized my summary of the event and listed possible outcomes, of which one happened to be the real outcome. Michelle made a great first impression and I could tell right away, she had a sharp direct personality, but also understood finesse. The consequences of a criminal conviction are daunting, especially when you look at US incarceration statistics or read articles about overzealous prosecuting attorneys. Although I was very confident in Michelle or Court’s ability to win my case had it gone to trial, I still had the paranoia of a bad jury convicting an innocent person. I was very impressed by the level of thoroughness and depth Michelle and Court performed in preparing my case and the items of discovery they used in the negotiation process. In the courtroom, Michelle held a strong presence and had great alluring soft skills when dealing with the judge or prosecuting attorney. She guided me through the legal terminology and made sure I understood the whole process and its details. I think it’s crucial for an attorney to have these skills, in addition to a well-respected reputation and network within the legal community. Overall I am glad I retained the services of Will & Will criminal defense team. I have learned the process can be a very slow uncertain situation due to an overburdened criminal justice system. Thanks to Michelle, I kept calm and focused during a time of high stress and uncertainty in my life. The case will end in a dismissal and I can put this event behind me. I would recommend Will & Will to anyone looking for a dynamic duo criminal defense team.
I am actually represented by Michelle's husband Court on a separate case but when I was falsely accused of something else I decided to go with their firm again. With Court needing to be somewhere else for my arraignment, Michelle stepped in at a moment's notice. I appreciate I didn't get some random intern but his wife who is a respected attorney in her own right. While Michelle is very kind you can tell right away she is not a pushover. Don't let her petite stature and gentle nature fool you she's a bulldog in the court room. Right away I could tell she commands respect, I even noticed the standing prosecuting attorney double checking certain procedures with Michelle, a former prosecutor herself. Even when the state was going to have my dates on desperate days causing me to miss more work, Michelle fixed that right away with no argument from the state. I most appreciated how at every step of the way Michelle asked me if I had any questions. I have always known Court is a well respected lawyer but so is Michelle. I have referred a friend to them, false allegations are scary and defending against them is costly but remember you cannot put a cost on your freedom. Thank you Michelle!
Once again I am in awe of Michelle's professionalism, legal knowledge, court-room demeanor and heart. Michelle just defended my daughter for a second time from new charges stemming from an arrest back in April of this year. Since April, my daughter has been doing wonderfully. However, a mess occurred when more charges were filled four months after the fact that could potentially have require my daughter to spend time in jail. I called Michelle concerning these new late-filled charges and she took control immediately. At court, Michelle worked around a prosecutor who was determined to hold a hard line concerning the charges. Many times throughout the proceedings, Michelle talked to the prosecutor trying to convince him to see this case in light of the tremendous success of my daughter - but to no avail. The prosecutor wasn't interested. Michelle then appealed directly to the judge. Her belief in my daughter was so true and heartfelt that it transferred to the judge who ultimately struck down the prosecutor's recommendations, praised my daughter for her determination and success and set fair, but strong, requirements for my daughter to follow that will help her to continue on the great path she is on. Both Michelle and Court have been a blessing throughout this entire ordeal. I recommend Michelle and Court to anyone who may need their extremely competent services.
I called Michelle (Will & Will, PLLC) right after getting out from jail on an investigation for burglary. Though it was my first offense, I was naturally worried about what the future could hold. On the first call, Michelle listened as I told her what happened and then walked me through my options, gave me an idea of what she expected from the case, and what her plan would be to help me with it. After hiring Will & Will, I worked with Court. I left my first meeting with him very confident about my case and his reliability and constant check-ins really helped me get through the stresses of the legal process. I would 100% recommend Will & Will, PLLC for anyone looking for a criminal defense lawyer.
I hired Michelle in March 2015 for a felony charge against my son. By June she had gotten the charges dismissed. I found Michelle to be very responsive, speaking with me regarding my concerns and returning phone calls immediately. I am an attorney licensed for 35 years in 2 jurisdictions and was very impressed by her responsiveness. Her qualifications are excellent and although I had some concern with her newness in Washington (she had extensive experience in other jurisdictions) I knew that this just made good lawyers work harder. She has my wholehearted recommendation
Michelle is the best attorney I have ever met! I had another run-in with the law about 10 years ago and didn’t have a good experience with the lawyer I hired. Michelle is different. She really cared about me and my case and spent a lot of time talking through everything and letting me know what was going on and what my options were. Based on my old conviction, I was expecting to really have that held against me. But Michelle looked at this case by itself and saw that there were some real problems with the evidence and she ended up getting some evidence “excluded.” After that, she had the case reduced to a misdemeanor and I didn’t spend a day in jail!
Mr. & Mrs. Will did an outstanding job for my son. I am a police officer so I am posting this anonymously for that reason. My son made an incredibly bad choice one night and found himself facing three felony battery charges (along with a few of his friends). The Will’s were referred to me by another officer that they had helped out of a jam a couple of years ago. I don’t condone my son’s actions that night, but the prosecutor’s office was trying to throw the book at him. To be honest I probably would not have given it a second thought if charges were not against my son (I’m not proud of that, but I had become somewhat jaded as an officer). Luckily, the Will’s had my son’s best interest in mind and discovered through their investigation that he was not nearly as culpable as his friends were. After several negotiations with the State, in the end my son was able to walk away with not much more than a slap on the wrist (and a hard lesson learned). His friends didn’t fare as well. Thank you to Will & Will for everything; you truly gave my son a second chance at life.

After several negotiations with the State, in the end my son was able to walk away with not much more than a slap on the wrist (and a hard lesson learned). His friends didn’t fare as well. Thank you to Will & Will for everything; you truly gave my son a second chance at life.
