Courtney M. Schott focuses her practice on workers’ compensation matters. Courtney handles a variety of workers’ compensation litigation claims from their inception through resolution.  She has previous experience with defense litigation and labor and employment matters.An experienced legal researcher with knowledge of a wide variety of matters and practice areas, Courtney’s practice is marked by methodical and exhaustive preparation, fine attention to detail, and open and timely communication with clients.At Syracuse University College of Law, Courtney was Business Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and the National Order of Scribes. Honing her skills in trial technique and oral argumentation, she was a finalist in the Hancock Estabrook Oral Advocacy Competition and a semi-finalist in the Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition. She also served her community as a student attorney at the Syracuse University Securities and Arbitration Clinic and as a research assistant at the Burton Blatt Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing the civic, economic, and social participation of people with disabilities. In that role, Courtney reviewed medical records and trial level decisions and drafted appellate briefs to aid the Institute’s clients.
