Over the last few years, I consulted several attorneys regarding an assignment of lifetime alimony. The first said to just live with it and another stated that I may end up paying even more each month. My final consultation resulted in handing over a $100 consultation fee, only to hear the attorney shout to her partner that she was ahead. She informed me that they have a running bet as to who collects the most fees each week. She then quoted a retainer fee with no explanation of what it was to cover, but made sure that I understood that was only an initial fee and would likely increase. No thanks. Fortunately, a friend of my wife recommended Corrie’s office. Quite a different experience. Corrie and her Legal Assistant, Angie, took the time to listen. After reviewing my case, Corrie said, “I think we can do this.” She explained her approach and detailed next steps and associated costs. The bottom line is this…Corrie delivered beyond my expectations! I felt that there was a genuine interest in my case and the desire to help. I highly recommend Corrie at Graham Family Law Firm.
I found Corrie and her staff to be very knowledgeable, professional and friendly while handling my divorce. She came highly recommended to me and I highly recommend her, as well.
I went through a divorce with 3 young kids and Corrie got me majority time with my children. She helped me think of future issues and my needs going forward, getting me the settlement I needed to move on.
I found Corrie for my friend who needed to get a power of attorney, and a will written up, since he was in a nursing home. She contacted my friend and discussed his wishes on what what he wanted in a will and power of attorney. When she was informed that she needed to adjust the document, and she never bothered to return any calls. This is after she was fully paid for services by Venmo. Also, the document that was marked up by her was generic and it appeared that she made NO EFFORT to customize the documents. All she cared about what money, and I would never recommend her to anyone. Unfortunately, I found her for my friend who has to get the documents done all over again. If I could give her a zero, I would! Think twice before you consider this lawyer.
Please save yourself the money you think will save by hiring her and instead hire a good attorney. She will cost you so very much as she will not represent you well and you will be left with nothing. She lied to me and is inept.
My divorce was final 2012 and imagine, up to now, I still think of her and what she had cost me. I gave her thousands of dollars. She represented me so bad during my final hearing. She said one sentence and kept quiet the whole time. She never advised me. This was my first divorse so how do 8 know what to do. She gave me no advice. Imagine, I have 2 kids and she got me 289 child support and I pay 50 percent of everything while my ex makes six figures and I was a housewife. Not a penny to even help me get started on my feet. I walked out of the courtroom literary crying inside and heartbroken. I always wanted to call her and tell her how much she affected my life and my kids life.
Corrie Graham needs more years of experience to represent clients with complex issues in their divorce. She did not represent me and my children well, and now I have to retain another counsel post divorce to file supplemental petitions. I would not recommend her. Do not waste your money. Get a more experienced family law attorney.
