About
I am a Jacksonville native. I have lived here all of my life except for seven great years in Gainesville attending the University of Florida. I moved back right after graduation from law school and have resided in the San Marco area ever since. My law firm is also located in San Marco. My personal interests include Major League Baseball, Gator football, golf, WWII history, backgammon, tennis, the greatest rock band in the world: Pearl Jam, and NASCAR races. On the professional side, I enthusiastically practice criminal defense and have a busy family law practice. I have regularly practiced in both areas since I became licensed in 2001. The Harris Guidi Rosner law firm has been my home since 2007. There are 12 attorneys in the firm who, collectively, practice in many areas of the law, such as personal injury cases, automobile accidents, medical malpractice, workers compensation, social security disability, traffic tickets, drivers license issues, longshore, commercial and corporate litigation, appeals, and many other types of cases. Prior to this firm, I worked with a small law firm in Callahan for seven years. Practicing law is the best job in the world. Each client is treated as a person, is unique, and is trying to overcome whatever problems he or she is experiencing. That is when I come into their lives. My job is to mitigate the trouble, to alleviate the obstacles to a productive life, and ease their way into the next chapter of their lives.

Mr. Wilson was a god send in handling my son's DUI case. He stuck through many court sessions where we received a No and stuck it out until we received a Yes. It change the direction of my son's future! I am proud to say that he is now two years sober and thriving. I truly believe that this is because Mr. Wilson did not give up on him! He is wonderful! I would and have referred him to anyone! And he is the third attorney that I have had the experience of using. He went above and beyond to help us! An experience that we had not previously ever received.
I've relied on Mr. Wilson as my attorney, he is always dependable and answers the phone when I need him. My trust is always in Mr. Wilson.
I met Mr. Wilson at a low point in my life. I was just reduced to state minimums for child custody after being misled and shook down by the worst of all attorneys (reference Seth Schwartz Jacksonville, Fl). I was left broken and beaten. I had always had 50/50 custody. My daughter was upset and called it a "nightmare." I was told his firm was ethical and fair. I was skeptical at best. Thankfully I met Mr. Wilson that day because he was more than I expected. And I expected a lot after what happened prior. He reviewed the docket and comfirmed my worst fear. I had been represented by a shakedown artist. However, Mr. Wilson developed a strategy and only asked me to be patient while we went through the process. He was always professional and fair. He was always responsive. Most importantly, he made me believe again in the power of a good, honest attorney. He never fell for the opposing attorney's games which only bring more disdain between the sides while fattening the pockets of attorneys. His fees were reasonable and I would have paid more knowing what I know now (no need to tell him that one). Mr. Wilson was able to get me all my time back and much faster than anticipated originally. I have since used him again and now have full custody of my daughter. Mr. Wilson, "Thank you for what you did. I could never repay you for giving me my daughter back. You are a man of character and class. You are compassionate but possess the ability to stand up and fight. My child's mother later thanked me for getting you because we didn't kick her when she was down. Your focus was what was best for the child. You gave me my life and my love back. Thank you, sir." The firm is fantastic but my loyalties reside in Mr. Wilson.
I retained Mr. Wilson several years back for what seemed like a straight forward Drivers License issue. I could not have been more wrong in my original assessment . I was so confused, lost, scared and worst of all stranded. You have no idea how important driving is until you are not legally permitted to do so. I have always heard that driving was a privilege and not a right, this is the most truthful statement i have ever known. Now, fast forward several years and once again i found myself in a similar situation and was staring straight down the barrel of a Revocation and/or an indefinite suspension. The situation was overwhelming and i was as scared and confused as i had been when this first happened. This situation seemed hopeless with no help insight .They were once again threatening to revoked my Driving privileges and i was simply out of luck until i met there demands. They wanted so much of me, classes, forms, medical review clearances and more than anything else money. I immediately scrambled to reach back out to Mr. Wilson. I met with him the next afternoon and we discussed my options and developed a game plan. I instantly felt a calming effect as i left his office and was able to think straight for the first time in days. By the next day he was telling me to dress appropriately and to meet him at the regional d.m.v office the next morning. We met there for what i thought would be a hearing or at best a Q and A session with the D.M.V officials. Once again i could not have been more wrong, but to my surprise all i had to do was pose for a new picture and provide information with my new address. I walked out of the d.m.v office with a new found appreciation for the right to drive and more importantly much respect for the person that made it happen . Mr. Chris Wilson not only went out of his way to get me in and out but did so within hours of me first explaining my situation to him. I still do not know how on earth he did what he did, and probably never will. It took me longer to find out the required documents list than it took him to get me cleared, reinstated and back on the open road. The best part of this entire process, he did not take me to the cleaners as far as the retainer. I was as desperate as one could be and it was obvious. I would have paid a kings ransom and he knew this. The fee for his services were a fraction of what the D.M.V claimed i owed and the only money i paid to the D.M.V I consider to be drop in the bucket. I can honestly say i do not know what i would have done had it not been for the guidance and expertise of Mr Wilson. My poor judgement could have cost me my job, (company car) my insurance to be cancelled, my freedom, the list goes on and on. I hope i never need to again but, i am confident that as long as i have Chris Wilson in my corner that i can handle all that is thrown my way. I had refereed friends & family before this most recent brush with the Law/d.m.v. now i feel like shouting it from the roof tops. Sometimes lawyers get a bum rap but not this guy. He is an outstanding Attorney and seems to be an even better person. I hope that one day i will be able to return the favor, until then i will continue pay it forward the best way i know how.

Mr. Wilson handled a very delicate case involving the custody and welfare of my child in a professional, courteous, and prompt manner. He took the time to listen to my concerns, fears, and questions and was able to address each not only effectively but was able to get a better than expected outcome. I couldn't have asked for better results!
