CHRISTOPHER L. WILLIAMS focuses his practice on complex employment litigation and class-action matters.  He has substantial experience litigating class-action disputes, including Title VII discrimination claims and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act.  In addition, Mr. Williams has been involved in a variety of matters involving wrongful termination, trade secrets, wage disputes, and non-compete issues. Mr. Williams is a member of the Louisiana and South Carolina Bars and also is admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Louisiana, District of South Carolina, the Middle District of Louisiana, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Additionally, he has authored and contributed to a number of articles on litigation and employment law issues, including “Offers of Judgment: Strategic Use of Rule 68,” ABA Pretrial Practice & Discovery Newsletter, Vol. 17, No. 4 (Summer 2009) and “Hitching a Ride on the Wage and Hour Gravy Train,” Bloomberg Law Reports – Employee Benefits, Vol. 4, No. 7 (March 28, 2011). Mr. Williams is a co-author of the chapter “Are Attorney’s Fees Available?” in ERISA Litigation (BNA 3rd ed. 2008, 2009, and 2010) and a contributing author to the American Bar Association’s Treatise Supplements on the Equal Pay Act and the Family Medical Leave Act. Mr. Williams also is active in the Labor & Employment, Young Lawyer, and Litigation Sections of the American Bar Association and a member of ABA Committees on Class Action and Derivative Suits, Pretrial Practice & Discovery, and Trial Practice.   Mr. Williams graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University School of Law in 2003 and was named to the Order of the Coif.  In addition, at Tulane he received the Haber Joseph McCarthy Award for graduating with the best academic record in the Environmental Law Program.   Mr. Williams received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Spanish from the College of Charleston in 2000, where he was the recipient of the D.L. Scurry Foundation Scholarship.

Mr. Williams consulted with me about my employment case decided to take my case. It was new case law which did not discourage him....he defended and made settlement pain free. He gets the highest rating amongst attorneys in my book! I highly recommend this attorney.
