Chris Weaver was born in Mississippi, raised in Winfield, AL, and has spent his entire adult life living in Jefferson County, AL. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and Juris Doctor Degree from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. in 2013, where he was an executive member of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board, National Client Counseling Semi-Finalist, and Semi-Finalist of the National Black Law Student Association Trial Advocacy Competition for the Southern Region of the United States.Prior to focusing on Dads Law, Christopher devoted the majority of his adult employment to public sector and public service. Over the years, Chris has worked as an EEO Analyst for the Jefferson County Commission, a Law Enforcement Officer, a certified County Magistrate, a Guardian ad litem, a Public Defender, and an Assistant District Attorney. He’s invested hundreds of hours in the courtroom and has both prosecuted and defended over 1000 cases and looked after the best interest of several children victims in civil cases. Chris has built a reputation for being grounded in his ethical duties. He is recognized across the legal community as an advocate who will fight for justice on either side of the aisle. And he's been known to go toe to toe with the legal bullies in our court system, whether they be opposing counsel attempting to be difficult or even the rare judge who chooses cognative bias and prejudice over codified statutes and legal precedent.Chris has often been told by many seasoned, less provocative attorneys to “keep your powder dry” and “save your best arguments for cases that really deserve them.” Appreciating their concern, Chris still says, “screw that.” His specialty is helping people get what they deserve, and he invests his best arguments for the case in front of him at that moment, every time.
