About

Christopher C. Wallhagen was Of Counsel for Jackson & Elrod, LLP. His primary practice areas are commercial law and real estate litigation. He has experience working on both the Creditor and Debtor sides of litigation, and is passionate about helping the disadvantaged consumer and homeowner. He grew up in Fairfield County Connecticut, graduating from Darien High School. Mr. Wallhagen attended The University of Texas at Austin where he earned a B.A. in Classics and Philosophy. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Wallhagen worked as a Flood Map Researcher for DataQuick, working with County Clerks and Tax Assessors in Jurisdictions across country to conduct property research to facilitate lenders and borrowers in the process of closing on their homes. He worked as a team leader for Pearson Educational Measurement, where evaluated scored students’ writing and worked on the development of state tests. Mr. Wallhagen also worked for the IRS in Austin, as well as for the Office of Chief Counsel in Houston as a legal intern. He volunteered at the Public Library and was an active participant in the Unitarian Church. As a student at South Texas College of Law he was a Dean Merit Scholarship Recipient, State Bar of Texas Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Scholarship Recipient, and an active participant in the Oil and Gas Law Society, and the Real Estate Law Society. He is admitted to practice by the State Bar of Texas and is a member of The Garland Walker Inns of Court, Texas Young Lawyers Association, The Consumer and Commercial Law Section of the Texas Bar Association, and The Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Section of the Texas Bar Association.
