After several consults and a few disappointments with other law firms, Mr. Wachtler made a TERRIFIC first impression with me. The follow-up and our recent consultation went better than hoped. Why? Because, he took the time to REALLY LISTEN. The case is very convoluted, and tricky- one of those situations where you just simply NEED an experienced, specialized law firm. Chris is still in process of reviewing all the information, I am confident that I will retain him and his firm for this matter if he also agrees to take this case. I already have received very valuable time and information from him. Give his office a call, I am very happy I did- you will be, as well. Genuine guy. Justin
I was a victim in a workplace discrimination case, my employer was a metro area county. I first retained a lawyer from one of the big downtown firms. This firm who I will not name did absolutely nothing to resolve my case. The only thing the downtown firm did was leave me with a substantial bill with nothing to show for it. I then found Chris end it was a night and day difference between him and the other firm. Chris understood the human aspect of my case and understood the ramifications it could have on my career. Chris aggressively worked on my behalf to resolve the case in a reasonable fashion. I thought Chris was a great advocate and looked out for the best interest of me as he worked my case. Another thing that I was very impressed with was the fact that Chris is a very down-to-earth and sincere person. Chris has an awesome sense of humor and is very easy to get along with. Chris possesses a vast knowledge of employment law. Chris also took the time to diligently learn the the facts of my case. The aforementioned combined with Chris's relentless pursuit to come to the best resolution in this case for myself really made him shine in negotiations. After my experience with Chris I would not hesitate to use his services again if I ever needed to and would highly recommend him to anyone. Also as a police officer I would recommend Chris to any law-enforcement officers. To Chris I want to say thank you so much for everything you did for me!
Chris began doing legal work for our union, the St. Paul Police Federation, beginning in 2001 while he was with a law firm. Our reliance on his skills and expertise with regard to labor and employment matters increased steadily over the years, and when Chris decided to open his own practice we invited him to share office space. He now handles our legal matters in addition to managing his solo practice, which includes representation of other unions and individuals. His knowledge and understanding of the labor and employment issues law enforcement officers face is unrivaled in the State of Minnesota. I have observed Chris many times in trial and arbitration settings, and simply put, he just doesn't get rattled. Given the fact that we have put him in charge of the most important legal matters we face as one of the largest police unions in the state, it is easy to understand why I recommend him wholeheartedly to organizations and individuals alike.
I have twice been injured in an accident. In both cases, I was not at fault. Also in both cases, I was at a loss for how to manage the process of working with insurance companies. Chris completely took over the process for me, successfully reimbursing me for all my losses while always putting my goals first. He demonstrated expertise for our legal system, excellent insight into the strategy of all parties, and heart and compassion for my condition. Chris was simply fabulous through both of these unfortunate events. He is also a wonderful advisor anytime I need an ear. I recommend Chis unconditionally.
I have had Chis handle 3 cases for me. One was work related, one was an work car accident, and one was a personal car accident. Chris is the best. He understands what you are going through, and works hard to let you know it will be ok. He is honest to a fault and gives you a realistic assement of things up front and through the course of the case. He does not make promises he can't keep and he is ALWAYS available. I can not think of another person I would want in my corner than Chris. He settled with my ex-employer, he took care of handling both car accidents and was able to get a me a fair and just settlement in both.
