Hired Mr. Gibbs to represent in child support case. Initial contact was early April. Mr. Gibbs took call immediately with instructions and quoted price. Even returned call same day at 7pm to coordinate/collect payment arrangements. In early May, Mr. Gibbs sent an email saying, "all of the other docs/pleadings finished and ready for filing but we can’t file the Summons and Complaint and Request for Temporary Hearing until we obtain info from you to file the Financial Declaration". Said info was provided to Mr. Gibbs on May 28th. On May 30th - I sent Mr. Gibbs a copy of letter received from court overstating my income. He said he would submit documentation and we would refute amount. After numerous calls, texts and emails to Mr. Gibbs office/personal cells phone - I was told, "he's in court, he would get back with me, we can't proceed without him" - I received another letter on July 10th, from the court stating payroll deduction if non-compliant, of which I forwarded to Mr. Gibbs. He finally called me back later that same day and partially explained to me how he wasn't fully aware of missing "recent" paycheck stubs and upon receipt would be "mailing" the filing to Columbia and should have documentation to me within a week. He also commenced to contribute the delay on my lapse of returning documentation until May 28th. On July 15 & 16th I called his office to get a draft of filing, to again be told by his staff that he was in court, out of office, etc... Mr. Gibbs sent me the following email on July 17th, "staff informed me that you called on Monday and yesterday for update on file stamped documents. When we spoke last week for an hour or so, I remember telling you that I’d let you know as soon as we received the filed stamped copy of the pleadings. Just wanted to follow up with you and let you know that’s still the case, and so until I call to inform you that we’ve received a file stamped copy, we most likely haven’t received it." His words … Well, as I write this review on Aug 5th - I still have yet to receive the "call to inform me". Truly disappointed, as I now have to spend additional funds to start all over the filing with new representation.
