My case was transferred to Andrew Swain, upon death of my attorney who was was handling my case forr three years. Andrew Swain’s assistant lawyer handled my case and we retained/ signed as per original agreement. After the settlement Andrew Swain sent us the release form to be signed with his share of 39% instead of 36% as per the agreement. When we insisted for the same 36% Andrew Swain refused to meet or even talk to us and refused to release any payments. We had no choice but to sign the papers. Soon after his assistant resigned or let go from the company. We will certainly be filing complaint with Attorney General Office, Bar Association and file malpractice suit

I will say he knows his stuff and has experience. Some clients need that above all else. But there are many lawyers who fit that bill. I was tired of a long-drawn out case and went to him on a referral. After a while I felt he didn't believe in me as a client and didn't fight for me like I deserved but I had no energy to go anywhere else. He doesn't hide his personal feelings about people well, since he had rather condescending opinions of me and voiced them easily. Think hard if this is really what you want to deal with.
