About
I was introduced into the law by my grandfather, Attorney Cosmo Nicastro, who was born in the North End of Boston. He attended the Boston Public Schools and graduated from Dorchester High School. He graduated from Boston University School of Law and practiced law for 51 years until he passed away in 1969. I remember my dad bringing me to his office on Pemberton Square as a child many times back in the old Scollay Square days before the tear down of the West End. He also had an additional office in his home, though we were not allowed to go in there much. My father, Cosmo D. Nicastro, Jr., attended Boston University and graduated from Portia Law School in 1957. Though my grandfather had some high goals for my dad, my dad never wanted to be a practicing attorney. Instead, he did get his law degree and used it in corporate business and management to run several taxi companies. He retired from his post as the Vice President of Checker Taxi, Town Taxi and Red Cab in 2000 after over 40 years of service to his bosses and friends, Mr. Frank Sawyer and his daughter Ms. Carol Parks. Though I was raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, and attended Brookline High School, my mom, Elizabeth (Betty Ray) Nicastro, and my grandparents Ruth and Kenneth Ray and great grandparents, John and Mary Kenney on the maternal side are all from Roslindale. My great grandfather was a local carpenter/builder. I often drive by homes that he built in the Roslindale Community. Now I also live and work in the Roslindale community. However, I have clients from all over Suffolk, Norfolk, Middlesex, Essex, and Plymouth and more recently even from Barnstable counties. I have been practicing law for over 23 years now. Initially, I worked in the insurance defense field as an attorney handling medical malpractice claims. However, I decided to open and run my own business and by 1996, I had to hire a bookkeeper, a financial staff manager, and associate attorneys as the business took off rather quickly. I believe it is because rather than setting up the exact areas or fields that I wanted to practice in, I was more geared to what was needed by the people who lived and worked around me. I saw the necessity to expand what I did in my practice to meet more of the needs of the community. Many local familes have come to me who needed legal representation in family law whether divorce, custody, modification or visitation; or such areas as prenuptial agreements, estate and will planning, trusts, and probate activities such as preparation for the estate, probate appointment, inventory, and final accounting. Many of my clients have young children and want a safe and dependable plan for guardianship for them. Unfortunately, sometimes a child or an adult or even a parent is charged with a serious crime. At those times, we have stepped up to handle the charge or arraignment the trial whether it be judge or jury and/or in the event it is better for the client, the plea bargain arrangement to either get a not guilty or work out the best deal possible for the client depending on the facts of the case. Training and education for the staff members is indispensible in keeping ahead of the curve when it comes to our clients getting the best possible representation around, which is our commitment mission to our clients. After handling multiple trials in the Superior Court, District Court, Probate and Family Court, I received training and became certified by the Court in Conciliation. I also added Limited Assistance Representation for our Clients in order to give them the best possible represenation and to make it affordable. As a result, the firm has expended many thousands of dollars yearly in updating our systems, our law library, and state of the art on-line research tools, as well as our continuing legal education in order to be up to date on the latest laws in the areas of our practice. Only with this education, can we effectively educate and represent our clients in the areas where they need assistance. After more than eleven years in practice, in October of 2005, my firm became a limited liability company, L.L.C.. Since that time, the firm's repertoire of expertise has grown to include lawyers who handle not only divorce and family law, criminal defense, estate and probate issues, but also real estate closings for buyers, sellers, banks and mortgage companies. The attorneys have handled condominium conversions for homeowners, changing the use of their current two or three-family homes into an income producing condominium. The firm has worked as conveyancing attorney and title agent. The firm represents many small businesses in the initial formation, and set up of the structure, whether it be a sole proprietorship, corporation, or L.L.C. After set up, the firm continues to provide counsel to small businesses on a variety of matters and handles the collection of their accounts receivable. Many local Landlords have sought out representation by NICASTRO LAW, in order to evict the tenant, who does not want to move out. NICASTRO LAW, L.L.C., works aggressively with competent constables to quickly and professionally recover monies owed to clients. It is no wonder that client reviews comment on the dynamic personalities of the individual staff members, which include their unique flare for creativity in thought and in the process in winning cases and in providing excellent legal services at various levels. Individual growth among the staff is encouraged and the workers flourish in their roles while being appreciated both by management and by the individual customer. Customer satisfaction is a premium goal at NICASTRO LAW

Attorney Nicastro is one of the brightest legal minds in New England. She is a creative problem solver who thinks outside the box. She is responsive to client needs and is quick to respond to phone calls personally. Her persistence and perserverance in client matters is unmatched in my experience working with many attorneys throughout the year.
After contacting multiple Law offices concerning a eviction matter, Nicastro Law office was the only one's who could provide me assistance. The advise I was given lead me to get my whole case dismissed. I want to thank Attorney Christine Nicastro and all the staff who assisted me.
Christine has been an excellent lawyer for me! She has helped me with two cases involving insurance companies. On both occasions I felt as if I was helpless against them. But Christine fought for me and on both occasions I came out victorious, with an outcome I was more than pleased with! I would highly recommend Christine for any legal matter!
I had Nicastro Law handle a situation that involved a contractor owing me money for work I had done in a subcontractor capacity. As a matter of fact, there were several subcontractors owed money from the same contractor. I tried to resolve the problem on my own, and when I could not resolve it , I turned to NICASTRO LAW. They worked diligently and in the end, I was paid the money that was owed to me. I would no hesitate to refer anyone to NICASTRO LAW!
I was going through a separation with my ex-husband and Christine Nicastro and her associate helped me through this difficult time. They listened to my story, gave me great advice, and supported me when I needed it most. I found them to be professional, courteous and very understanding. My ex-husband was very difficult and uncooperative at times and my attorneys handled every situation expeditiously to avoid unnecessary legal fees. Christine and her associate were able to proceed with my divorce proceedings in a timely manner. I'm very grateful for how this whole process went and I would highly recommend Nicastro Law, LLC to anyone who is in a similar situation.
A few years ago I found myself in need of a lawyer to assist me in filing for divorce. I had used Nicastro Law earlier after driving by to Notarize a document. As one might imagine, I had just left my then husband and was pretty unfocused at the time. So, when I needed an attorney to address my separation, I called them first because I remembered walking into their office and immediately feeling grounded. I met with both Kathryn Schwartz and Christine for an initial consult and instincts total me it was the right fit. Not only were they able to hear my concerns, answer my questions and explain the process in lay terms; they provided me with a tremendous amount of emotional support which I know they did not have to do. Through many tears, anxiety and uncertainty they drafted a separation agreement and later divorce that is fair, and equitable; making sure I that I got what I was entitled to during a time when I may not have made the best decisions for myself. Recently, I needed their assistance again in filing a QUADRO(retirement issue) of which I needed some explaining. The attorney they had referred me to was of little use despite my attempts at asking for help. Naturally I reached out to Nicastro Law, who did in fact address the concerns they could. I was very pleasantly surprised, when after reaching out, instead charging me for something they acknowledged was not their expertise, they did the research and found me another attorney, closer to home and thus far definitely more user friendly. It goes without saying they are extremely competent and knowledgeable about the law, they also have compassion for their clients, are honest to a fault; and definitely went the extra mile for me. For all these reasons and more I highly recommend they be the office you select for your legal needs.
I was in a panick and needed legal advice right away. When I called Nicastro Law they were kind and very sympathetic to my situation. They arranged to meet with me immediately and before I knew it I was in their office discussing my situation with their legal staff. By the time I left the meeting I was so relieved and happy to know that my matter was being handled by really competent and professional lawyers. I actually wound up even enjoying the experience! I highly recommend Nicastro Law and especially the owner Christine Nicastro who was very empathetic and hands on with my case!
Attorney Nicastro and her legal staff represented me on my case. She fought for really hard in court and had the judge dismiss my case . She was always on time and keep me updated on everything. They also work really hard and sometimes they take extra time to make sure that you are being well taking care of .
Christine Nicastro is a caring, kind, and honest attorney. I trusted her expertise in my legal matter. Christine handled a very emotional and delicate case for me. Her staff was professional , yet caring and very helpful. I would highly recommend Nicastro Law for any legal matter.
Attorney Nicastro and her legal staff represented me and my company (I am an electrical contractor) against a builder that specialized in using tradesmen to get work done, while lying about when they would pay you. Attorney Nicastro amazed me in the depth of research that she and her staff did in order to find other trades men and home owners who were wronged by this builder. I felt like I had a power house firm from downtown Boston representing me! However, she operates a small office in Roslindale that could pass as a quaint apartment. No frills, just gutsy legal work, and years of experience. I received 'cadillac' service at a 'chevy' price. As far as I am concerned, if you want the best at an affordable price, forget the downtown firms, go to 62 Ainsworth Street in Roslindale. You'd be a darn fool not to.
