Erick T. Gjerdingen is an associate Gordon Silver's Corporate & Real Estate Department. Mr. Gjerdingen primarily practices in the areas of real estate finance, real estate acquisitions, real estate leasing and commercial transactions. He also has experience representing creditors and debtors in corporate restructuring and complex insolvency.Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gjerdingen served as a foreign legal intern in the Legal Aid Section of the Burma Lawyers' Council in Mae Sot, Thailand. There, he worked with Burmese laborers in Thai border factories on issues related to immigration and labor laws, and aided members of the Burmese government-in-exile in drafting opinions on Burmese constitutional issues and election law violations in the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis. Mr. Gjerdingen is a former faculty member at Burapha University's International College in Bangsaen, Thailand where he taught undergraduate courses in English and the humanities. Additionally, he reviewed international trade agreements for the Thai Ministry of Commerce.
