About
I have been a litigator at Smith Duggan since 2000. Before coming to Smith Duggan, I served as law clerk to Justice John A. Dooley of the Vermont Supreme Court. My practice has focused on defending businesses and individuals in workers’ compensation, employment, contract, premises liability, Consumer Protection Act and business disputes. I have litigated cases to trial at the state and federal District Courts, the Superior Court, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and have successfully defended appeals to the Massachusetts Appeals Court. In addition to practicing litigation, I advise small businesses and entrepreneurs on corporate, employment and intellectual property issues, and am active in the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Association and Massachusetts Bar Association. I speak German, and have a particular expertise in the issues that face working artists. In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and two sons, compete in agility trials with my two dogs, and teach agility to other handlers and their dogs.
