Christal is Lead Litigation Counsel at A. Clarke Law, PLLC. She concentrates her practice in the area of contested Family Law Litigation, representing clients in matters involving divorce and property division, child custody and visitation, protective orders, child support, and domestic violence. As a civil litigator, she is experienced in the defense of professionals and veterans, government investigations, and security clearance issues. With an educational background and training in Psychology, Christal is an effective mediator and listener, choosing to practice by emphasizing effective dispute resolution and collaboration. By choosing to be an empathetic advocate, she is understanding, responsive, and remains aware of the emotional and financial strain of litigation.Christal is a Virginia native and resident of Fairfax County. With the exception of moving to Philadelphia for graduate school and training in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, she has lived in the Commonwealth for most of her life. Prior to passing the bar exam, Christal worked in a Virginia law firm that practiced exclusively in family law and volunteered in non-profit organizations representing victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and those in need of emergency and final protective orders. After becoming a member of the DC bar, she completed a clerkship in the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and advocated for Veterans and Active Duty servicemen and women requiring civilian defense counsel.Although an aggressive trial lawyer, Christal is primarily known by her clients and colleagues as a dependable ally, always relatable and confident when needed most. This, coupled with her experience and training allows her to provide strength and understanding in some of the most trying situations in the lives of her clients.She represents clients on behalf of A.
