Chris handled the (uncontested) probate in Washington County for my Mom's estate. He was responsive and submitted all paperwork promptly. The final bill was in-line with his original estimate. I'd use him again for estate work.
I learned about Chris from my EAP when I decided to seek a divorce. I left him a voice message, he returned my call within a couple of hours, asked great questions, seemed knowledgeable and his website felt like the same person I'd spoken with so I decided to hire him. During the months I worked with him I found his communication to be clear, timely, informative and supportive. I appreciated that we did nearly everything by e-mail (we only met in person to sign documents) as that's my preference and it also kept the cost down. I would definitely recommend Chris!
Chris was very helpful with consultation and preparation of my mom's will, durable power of attorney and advance directive. He was very patient and thorough with my mom, warm and professional. He put us all at easy with a fairly seamless process which was extremely helpful with my husband and I being out of state. Chris was great and we'd highly recommend his practice.
I highly recommend Chris. He handled our estate planning needs efficiently and promptly. He made the process as simple as possbile.
When it became clear I was filing for divorce, Chris was my first choice as he came highly-recommended and has a great reputation in the community. He listened to my concerns and helped me at a time in my life when I really needed expert help. I am thankful for his advice and time--his work-product exceeded my expectations. If you're going through a divorce, I highly recommend hiring Chris Burnett.
I had an unusual situation of an annulment of a marriage. There wasn't a lot of information available on annulment but Chris helped me through every stage of the process, answering all my questions, for a reasonable fee. He was very professional and was very knowledgeable. Everything went very smoothly and the annulment was finalized without a problem. I highly recommend this attorney.
I was met with an incredible personal blow while living 3000 miles away and I looked up so many lawyers in the area and when I found Mr. Burnett he didn't hesitate one second, and worked with me. Between the staff and Mr. Burnett I was kept informed with everything having to do with my case. The supporting staff was just as kind and responsive. I couldn't have asked for better representation and I am not only fully satisfied with Mr. Burnett, I am grateful to have found him.
Chris seemed very distracted and not very interested in our case. He was unprepared and extremely hard to get a hold of. We settled our case because we felt we would not have a good outcome with Chris as our attorney.
Initially went to the firm to see another attorney; was told that she would not have the time to help me as well as he would and so she handed my case over to Mr. Burnett. From the beginning he acted as though my case was unimportant and not worth his time. As the court date approached it seemed as though nothing was getting accomplished, even with receiving the statements for how many hours he "worked" on my case. When we appeared in court the judge whom had the case information for far less time had to continue to correct his errors in case information. I did not appreciate having to sit next to him as he is trying to get me divorced when I have never been married or is mixing up the names of my ex and I and hearing him being corrected by someone who is supposedly so much less informed on my case. If he spent any time preparing for my case I would be shocked. 2 years later I'm still trying to get my screwed up custody agreement fixed.
Chris was assigned my case (uncontested divorce) after my original choice in the firm was too busy. Later on I found out through a third party that Chris personally knew the opposing attorney. Throughout the process, which the other attorney drug out to almost a year, Chris seemed to just a passing on documents and messages without much legal advice. I have never dealt with attorneys before and hope to never deal with one like Chris before.
