Cheryl Chapman Henderson is the founder and principal member of Cheryl Chapman Henderson, LLC, a law firm dedicated to comprehensive estate planning and to representing the needs of persons 65 and older. The Firm’s practice includes all matters of powers of attorneys, wills, and trusts; asset protection planning, veteran’s benefits planning, Medicaid planning, special needs planning; and trust and estate administration. Cheryl and her firm serve D.C. and Maryland and are dedicated to practicing law from a Biblical Perspective. The Firm’s office is located in College Park, Maryland.Cheryl Chapman Henderson has over 40 years of experience in representing clients in estate planning and elder law. She speaks frequently and has written articles on estate planning. She has been a presenter, lecturer, and course material writer on estate planning and elder law to professional colleagues in various venues such as the Prince George’s County Bar, National Business Institute, and ElderCounsel. She formerly produced and hosted the Law4God television series which aired on Montgomery County Community Cable. She was a longtime regular guest on the Wesley Watkis Money Talk radio program speaking on a variety of estate planning issues. She has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the State of Texas and the City of Houston, Texas.Cheryl Chapman Henderson is a member of the D.C. Bar and Maryland State Bar Associations, the Elder Law, Trust and Estates sections of D.C. and Maryland Bars. She is a member of Wealth Counsel, ElderCounsel, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), National Care Planning Counsel. She is an accredited attorney for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. She is a longstanding active member of the Prince George’s Senior Provider Network. She is a former Section Council member of the Elder Law Section of the Maryland State Bar. Cheryl is a former member of Lawyers with Purpose and the Academy of VA Pension Planners. She is an active member of the South County Economic Development Assoc. (SCEDA).Cheryl is an honors graduate of George Washington University National Law Center and received her undergraduate degree from Boston University.Cheryl is married to Bishop Lonnie P. Henderson, Founder, and Pastor of Agape Christian Fellowship Ministries, an international church. She assists him in ministry, including his ministries overseas. They formerly co-hosted the weekly television series Law 4 God.She and Lonnie together have two children and six grandchildren. They reside in Prince George’s County, Maryland.Cheryl is delighted that her father Clinton W.
