I'm married with 3 children.  While I am first a family guy, I am also a lawyer who tries cases to verdict if necessary, but is always willing to reasonably settle cases.  Our firm specializes in agricultural commercial litigation and representing other persons who have been harmed personally or economically through the fault of others or by breach of contract.  We represent a lot of dairy farmers, as well as other animal and crop producers, in commercial disputes with manufacturers and suppliers, as well as electric utilities.  I also volunteer as a conciliation court referee in Olmsted County and Dodge County District Courts.  This volunteer work provides valuable service to our local courts and and to citizens, resulting in timely, economical and effective resolution of disputes less than $15,000.  Our firm also handles a lot of appeals, not only for our clients, but also on a pro-bono basis as amicus curia (friend of the court) in cases we believe we can help in the development of the law and one or more of the parties deserve(s) thoughtful and critical analysis in the appellate courts.
