Mr. Charles Agege started out as my defense attorney now I consider him my brother and part of my family. I was being accused of domestic violence and battery on my son's mother. It was a very heavy case. I was innocent in my heart but needed to prove it to the people. I never touched my ex or battered her but of course she is a crazy woman who said I did. She called 911 and made a phony report to LA SD. So it was a one sided battle. I went to many lawyers but I could see all they wanted was money and they had no heart. Mr. Agege was different! He showed compassion and true concern. However he would not B***S*** me, and told it like it was. He fought tooth and nail, took time from his family, and worked with me on financial issues. No other lawyer would do that! He was able to show the jury the holes in the people's and my son's mothers testimony. The inconsistencies and flat out lies. My ex even coached my son perfectly on what to say and do and lie about. Sad my son did it, but he is only 11 and very impressionable. So I hold no hard feelings towards my son. I love the Lil guy. Anyway, Mr. Agege never stopped fighting or believing in me, even when the case looked un-winable. He paid very close attention to every detail no matter how big or small. His closing arguments should be In a hall of fame of its own class! We methodically approached this case, took us almost a year to get this verdict but we'll worth the wait. In a state where men are last In custody battles and almost never win violent cases against a former spouse/partner, Mr. Agege got me a NOT GUILTY verdict on all count. A miracle happened today! I knew I was not guilty, Mr. Agege believed I was not quilty, but to prove that in a California court of Los Angeles is near impossible. Mr. Agege must have God's direct phone number because I don't see any other way I could of been found not guilty. He made the jury see the truth. I am an honest, hard working father of 3, and husband of a beautiful wife. 2 children are from my current wife, not the one who was falsely accusing me of this, who is my son's mom. Mr. Agege will always remain in my heart and mind and will always be my 1st recommendation to anyone. I will be honest one more thing. He is a pretty penny, however I have seen lawyers charge way more but give way less results. So if you ask me, he is worth every penny and then some. I guarantee that til the day I die! I have a new love and respect for defense attorneys. OK ok maybe only him. Hopefully I never need his services again, but if I do, he is the only one I will call. He reminds me of, Matt Damon, in the movie Rainmaker! Thank you Mr. Charles Agege!
I have dealt with 1 other attorney before Mr. Agege that only worried about getting money and not my custody case. I hired Charles because he made me feel at ease with all my worries and fears concerning my child in the matter. He is very professional. He saw the bigger picture concerning my child rather than the dollar bills behind her. He talks to me when I need someone to talk to and does not make me feel like an inconvenience. He truly cares about my child and the relationship between both parents. He has won my case multiple times and has so much knowledge with custody resolutions. He lets me speak in court unlike my other attorney who elbowed me at the bench to stay quiet. He lets my voice be heard and I don't feel like an ATM machine just spitting out money as he pulls me by my arm. I have never met an attorney so kind, sincere, and caring toward my matter. If anyone ever needs a family law attorney, I HIGHLY recommend him as he gives you faith again that not all attorneys are money hungry jerks. He will always be a part of this family as a man that always kept us whole and protected. I owe him more than I have ever paid him and hope that one day I could pay him back for all the good hearted deeds he has done for us. He really is a wonderful attorney and honest man.
I was going through an extremely difficult time in my life when Dr. Agege was recommended to me by the California Bar (first mistake). Without reading reviews I met with him and hired him based on his friendliness and apparent knowledge of the law and reasonable price. Not to bore anyone with the details but he basically held my settlement for ransom (the wrong way; not me getting $$) and when I saw the bill it was 3x what was promised. He blew right through his retainer and charged .75 hours for something as simple as reviewing a document. SHADY! My friends who are lawyers in different fields said if they gave a client a bill like Dr.Agege gave me, they'd be fired from their firm. Stay away. I've moved in and 2 years later am back on track. I'm not a jealous ex lover type who is making this up. This actually happened!!
I approached Charles Agege for help and informed him that I would need to make payment arrangements for his services. I gave the phone number for me and my elderly mother who would be helping me with the payment. He agreed, but the very next day I received a phone call from my mother saying that she was duped in a scam call out of $1000. Being older, she was unaware of what was happening. Supposedly someone had posed as an amazon worker who'd made a mistake, and convinced her to give them remote access to her computer to "help with reimbursing her," by opening a command prompt program on her computer. I checked the lines of code in this, and one of the lines read "Charles Agege." I cannot make any specific allegations, but I strongly recommend that you, at the very least, do a plethora of research before consulting this lawyer or giving him any of your information.
I hired Mr. Agege to push paper after my previous attorney took my unlawful detainer case to the 10-yard line, then disappeared. I needed someone to simply get the squatter and his opposing counsel to sign the settlement agreement that my previous attorney negotiated so we could take it before the judge and have it recorded in court. For this Mr. Agege charged me a retainer 4X the amount my previous attorney charged, and again, for the simple service of finishing an already negotiated settlement. To Mr. Agege's credit, he discovered a precedent case that rendered the aforementioned settlement far too generous. But instead of going back to opposing counsel to renegotiate, he thought it more important to preserve his professional relationships than serve, me, his client. In my opinion, Mr. Agege breached his fiduciary responsibility by releasing the settlement funds to the squatter without ensuring a) the squatter had moved out, and, b) the return of the remote control to the property gate, which was a condition of the court filed stipulation. Moreover, Mr. Agege’s failure to comply with the very stipulation he drafted showed a total disregard for my interests and that he was merely interested in ending this case because he already got paid. In fact, when I expressed my dissatisfaction because he did not follow the signed stipulation and released funds without ensuring the return of the remote control, he did not accept responsibility, and said “it was not a big deal" and if I wanted to get the remote back, the onus was on me and I would have to pursue it through small claims court. Only after I threatened to file a complaint with the California State Bar, report him to the Better Business Bureau, and post a review on social media sites, did he retrieve the remote control, five days later. And if that’s not enough, it’s been almost two months since the case closed and I have not received any sort of billing reconciliation from Mr. Agege documenting his hours. I’ve asked for this three times, to no avail. My two cents (because that’s all I’ve got left after retaining Mr. Agege!) find another attorney to do your bidding.
Beware of this lawyer. He is not knowledgeable. He pisses Judges off. He is argumentative. He is not knowledgeable. He botched a case of of mine. He should not have taken the case. He made so many errors that had he been a really sharp attorney I would have won my case. He is not well educated or experienced. In all the years i have used a lawyer he is the worst. Be very very care and don't use him unless you want to lose your case.
This attorney has repeatedly taken advantage of his clients by unnecessarily inciting them to file actions they cannot win in court and thereby increasing his billings. Other lawyers have rated his work as under par and even absolutely incorrect.

Mr. Charles Agege started out as my defense attorney now I consider him my brother and part of my family. I was being accused of domestic violence and battery on my son's mother.
