Got in trouble by a cops/daughter It was a major misunderstanding and was taken to jail and charged with a felony and four counts of mistermeaner, I have to say it wasn't looking good for me even tho is wasn't what it appeared to be he really showed intrest and will work hard, and also will work you with you with payments. Bottom line got everything dropped before court date. Nothing on my recorded this guy knows his stuff and if I have to recommend someone it would be him.

Chad was an incredible Lawyer from start to finish. When I reached out to Chad after being referred to him by a friend, I had never been in any situation with the Law before. I was incredibly upset and unsure of what would happen. He made each step very clear for me to understand, he kept me informed of any changes and aware of what was to come. I remember at one point him emailing me while being very sick in bed. At that point I knew I could trust him and be confident he not only cared about my case but also about me as an individual. Chad was also very knowledgeable and worked hard to get the best results for my case. It all paid off after finding out we had WON! I wasn't charged with a DWI, I had no further charges and could move forward with a clear record! I appreciate all Chad Atwell has done for my case and would recommend him to even my closest family and friends! Awesome Lawyer! Great at what he does!

Chad has been my Attorney for several years now. He is always accessible and prompt on calling me and keeping me informed. He is very knowledgeable in whatever he is working on, willing to go the extra mile on research and justification. He is very thorough and researches each case with diligence. The best thing about Chad is he is always honest and straightforward with me as a client!

Absolutely the worst. As others stated he takes your money and talks a big talk but literally does nothing in return other than the minimal amount he can do. I could have likely represented myself with the same outcome. He also charges WAY more than most other attorneys. Will not respond to calls or emails and is late to meetings, appointments, and filings of legal documents. Stray clear.

I've waited over 3 years to post this. I was hesitant at first, but at this point I feel I need to leave this review for my own mental health's sake. I think about this attorney every single day and how I let him walk on me the way he did. I'm an honest person and when I received my first felony, I hired Chad from word of mouth only, looking back I should have heeded the warning signs. I was scared and vulnerable, paying his 8,000 fee upfront the very next day after our first meeting. To cut a long story short, Chad negotiated a plea deal for me, which seemed fair enough at the time. I was charged with possession of marijuana, a reasonably large amount of marijuana at that. I remember Chad telling me that he's the type of attorney that will just do what his client's want directly. As if I had some sort of intricate knowledge of how the legal system worked, it was said in a sarcastic way at that. It bothered me, but I put that little statement in the back of my mind, first red flag ignored... Long story short, I got what I thought was a favorable plea deal, I accepted the punishment and tried to move on with my life only to later find out that I had inadvertently signed a deal that included twice the amount probation from which we had discussed MULTIPLE times. I signed this piece of paper at court, it was thrown in front of me after Chad read it and I just signed, not thinking to actually add up the amount of months and convert them to years. Sure, I should have been more thorough, but I trusted that my attorney had read it previously and that it was correct, wrong again... So after serving a short period of incarceration and finding this error during said incarceration I contacted Chad immediately after my release. It was not easy to contact him, I called probably 5 times over a course of 2 months only to be fed one excuse after another by his receptionist as to why he wasn't available. It's not her fault that Chad has her screen calls in this manner and I understand that some people can be bothersome in these matters. I was finally able to get a response from him via email, he stated that there "was a mistake in the paperwork and it can easily be corrected, as it happens all the time. I left a message at the prosecutor's office in regards to this". I still have this email as well. That was the last time I heard from him ever. I tried multiple times to contact him after that, even speaking to his partner once. She was nice, but after that one phone call I wasn't able to contact her either. I've tried to move on with my life despite still being on felony probation when I should have been off by now. In conclusion, this guy is a snake, unethical at best. The amount of anger, anguish and downright pain that this "paperwork error" has caused me and my family is extreme. I'm generally happier now that I can let this out, as it's probably my only real recourse in the situation. Steer clear! That's my advice, go hire one of the more well-known attorneys in town, they are abundant. Good Luck and God Bless

Chad talks a BIG talk, we paid him a ton of money and no more was done by him than what could have been done by a State paid attorney. He didn't return phone calls most of the time and didn't keep appointments at times that he set. The initial court was rediculous! He knew that he couldn't do anything, he had to have known if he's as experienced as he claims! He took our $ and did NOTHING! An honest attorney would have been straight up and suggested stay with what you have, this situation can not change. One court appearance and numerous failed returned calls and appointments. This is why attorneys get a poor reputation. We're a hard working family that fell prey to a slick talking attorney who said he could make a difference. Ha! The judge even thought he was a snot nosed! Reminded him that he was in his court room. Seek out the older attorneys that aren't preoccupied with making a name for themselves, but have true passion for assisting families in need and they are up front and honest. Chad working as a prosecuting attorney offers no leverage for any of his cases, don't be fooled by that in his ad.
