Catherine Simon Spann is an associate in the firm’s litigation section. Catherine works with clients primarily in the areas of personal injury and commercial litigation. An Alabama native, she attended the University of Alabama, graduating magna cum laude, with a major in History and a minor in Sociology in 2010. She later received her Juris Doctor from The University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, Catherine served on the Campbell Moot Court Board, the Orientation Committee for First Year Orientation, and the Judge Conrad Duberstein Bankruptcy Team, competing in moot court competitions in Miami and New York. She also served as an intern for the Honorable Chief Judge William H. Steele, of the Southern District of Alabama, and the Honorable Judge John H. England, Jr., of the 6th Judicial Circuit in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Following law school, Catherine gained valuable experience as the law clerk for the Honorable Judge Roderick P. Stout of the 13th Judicial Circuit in Mobile, Alabama. Catherine is a member of the Young Lawyers Association of Mobile and the Mobile Bar Association Women Lawyers. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband on the water and watching Alabama football.
