As an Estate Planning Attorney with Hammond Law Group, Chad Spencer focuses his practice on educating people on how they can painlessly preserve and protect what they hold most dear. An estate plan, like life, is ever evolving and Chad looks forward to working with each of his clients as their lives evolve ensuring that their legacy remains intact.Mr. Spencer brings a broad perspective of understanding to his work with over 20 years of varied professional experience including his 9 years of practice as an attorney in Colorado. In his legal career, Mr. Spencer has worked with a handful of Denver based law firms with experience in estate planning, construction litigation, creditor’s rights litigation and criminal defense. Originally from the Midwest, Mr. Spencer came to Colorado, like many others, drawn by the mountains but stayed because of the vibrancy and diversity of the community. After a short career as a middle school math and science teacher in the Denver Public Schools, he went back to the classroom as a student and earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in May of 2006. While in law school, Chad received the Roberta Steinhardt-Ehrlich Award for excellence in mediation in recognition of his work with the Student Law Offices Mediation and Arbitration Clinic.Mr. Spencer is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the prestigious American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.Away from the office, Chad enjoys as much family time as he can get with his gorgeous wife, beautifully intelligent daughters, and handsome baby boy (and the occasional round of golf if they let him).

Chad setup a very comprehensive living trust us us. I liked the fact that the Hammond Law Group charges a fixed fee for the work you want done. That way you know what the cost will be without worrying about lawyer hourly rates. I also liked the fact that your fixed price includes update meetings every three years and meetings with beneficiaries after a death.

I was in search of an attorney to create an estate plan for myself and my husband. I attended several free seminars put on by local attorneys. I narrowed the choice siren to two different firms with similar philosophies and fees. We went with Chad Spencer because he made us both feel comfortable plus he made a comment during the free seminar regarding complications when a charity receives a portion from retirement accounts. We planned to include charities in our estate and he was the only attorney that seemed to assume this would be the case. Overall we were very pleased with the full estate plan.
