Cassy's has a passion for representing the accused and fighting for the best outcomes in their cases, particularly for children caught up in the system.  Colorado's legal system treats them differently and Cassy has focused much of her practice on navigating juveniles and their families through it with a determination to achieve the best outcome for "her kiddos".  In addition to juvenile defense, Cassy handles adult trial cases and certain appellate matters including Rule 35 proceedings alleging ineffective assistance of trial counsel and challenging illegal sentences.Cassy believes everyone is entitled to highly competent legal representation at every stage of their case and that no one should have to face the system on their own.  Sadly, many attorneys make it impossible to retain qualified counsel because of staggeringly high fees.  Although the public defender system exists to provide counsel to those who cannot afford an attorney on their own, the unfortunate truth is that many who "make too much money" to qualify for court-appointed counsel are in no position to pay the outrageous hourly rates charged by many private defense attorneys, leaving them in the position of having to face the full force of the government and all its resources completely on their own.  This clearly puts them at a steep disadvantage and may lead them to accept plea deals they otherwise may not or to make mistakes throughout their case that cause worse outcomes.While no attorney can ever guarantee a particular outcome in a particular case, in most cases, having representation yields better results than going it alone.  Cassy works with potential clients in a variety of ways to attempt to make representation possible for them by utilizing sliding payment scale, slow pay, flat rate, and low pay fee structures.  If you or your child have a legal matter and seek high quality representation from someone who is aggressive and will fight hard for your rights and the best outcome in your case, contact Zobel Law, LLC.Cassy received her B.S. in Accounting from Oklahoma State University in 2000 and spent the next 15 years working in the contract management industry.  Though she always wanted to be a defense attorney, life had other plans for a while. She received her J.D. from the University of Colorado in 2018.
