Carol's expertise was essential in guiding me through one of the most difficult experiences of my life, my divorce. Her vast knowledge of the process, her working relationships with other attorneys and her intuition on local judges' rulings proved to be crucial to a successful divorce. She was patient and kind with each question I asked and valued my opinions and input along the way. I feel the result of my divorce was fair and the best possible outcome for myself, my son and my former spouse. Carol had a very practical approach which got my case resolved without incurring additional unnecessary expenses along the way. I have referred friends to her and continue to do so. I very much enjoyed working with Carol, despite the circumstances for which I had to retain her. Her years of experience and her extensive knowledge left me a very satisfied client.
I was fortunate to have Attorney Perry handle my divorce. She listened to my concerns, very professional and made a difficult time in my life easier. I couldn’t recommend her more!!!
I was a client of Carols' for 15 months. There are 3 issues I wish to comment on regarding her quality of work and the protection of my interests. While I was under no illusion that I was her only client, it became clear that Carol's workload had a negative effect on the quality of her work for me. There were several instances where I would provide her with information she requested to only have her ask for it again 2 or 3 days later. Documents I provided weeks prior would be asked for again. Dates agreed upon to complete tasks usually were not met. Even after I voiced these concerns, it continued. As we proceeded thru the seperation agreement there would be issues I suggested to better protect my interests. I was surprised she had not thought to advise me of these fundamental items, given her 32 years experience. These were critical to my financial situation and would not have been included in the seperation agreement if I hadn't spoken up. My overall feeling on this point is that Carol is more effective in her role as a divorce attorney when she is responsible to obtain assets for her client vs ensuring to retain maximum assets (in this case, mine). Finally, during the 15 months, Carol told me on numerous occasions her 32 years of experience would be to my benefit, meaning her hourly billable rate of $300 was worth it. Now that it is finished, my opinion is her 32 years of experience has made her complacent. Knowing the divorce laws and knowing how judges rulings will most go, made her just go along in the usual way and not be willing to "think outside the box" for my benefit. It seemed she had created a profile of my divorce and followed the usual procedures because she had a good idea of how judges would rule. With little effort shown to try all reasonable approaches for my benefit. If more effort had been made in this area I would have retained more of my assets.
