About

John “Jacob” Chapman is a 2010 graduate of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU, where he graduated cum laude. His primary practice areas include: medical malpractice defense, general liability and products liability defense, general civil litigation, insurance coverage and defense, commercial and business litigation and state and municipal civil service. He has represented physicians, hospitals, and other medical professionals at every stage of litigation, from the medical review panel stage all the way through the Louisiana Supreme Court. Jacob is experienced in interpretation and drafting of complex contractual policies, including auto and home-owner’s insurance policies, employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, etc. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and The Baton Rouge Lawyer Publications Committee, and is licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Louisiana. He has earned a reputation as an effective litigator.Jacob was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 2002, before attending Louisiana State University for college, where he majored in journalism with a minor in political science. When he is not in the courtroom, Jacob enjoys fishing, cooking, and cheering on the LSU Tigers. He and his wife Chelsey are the proud parents of two girls, Audrey and Madelyn, and are parishioners at First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge. Jacob is a member of the Dunham Men’s Club and a prior member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association’s Pro Bono Committee.
