Carl recently assisted me in a child support case that was (to say the least) very complex. Two children involved and both living across state lines. When I was "served" the court order to appear in Oakland County, I consulted a close friend for advice in locating a trustworthy attorney. My friend recommended Daines & Sears , PLLC. I immediately knew that I was in great hands! NEVER did they mention cost until I asked and even then they (Carl and Tim) explained that the focus needs to be on the gathering of information and once we understood what was involved then we would discuss cost. I was comfortable with that approach. Once we did discuss the cost, they were very thorough and more than reasonable in explaining the process and cost. Furthermore, since I am unable to scoop out of a money pot, they offered to take payments throughout the entire process. Carl and Tim are really good people!!!! That is what is above all most important to me. Carl is so thorough that at times I feel like I am in law school, I mean he really explains this legal mumbo jumbo! I now have another unrelated case and I am going to use them again. Not because of convenience, knowledge, reasonable cost, or that I feel I owe them. No, I am hiring them a second time because I TRUST THEM LIKE FAMILY!!!!!
I hired Carl E. Sears to process a divorce for my son whose wife left him 10 years ago, no minor children involved and turned out to be an uncontested divorce. The estranged wife lived in a county far from my son's country of residence so the divorce was processed through the mail and phone calls. Mr. Sears covered all the issues and was very timely in his actions. He even went so far as to pick up my son at his home and drive him to the final court hearing because my son does not have a vehicle. Both my son and I were very pleased at how Mr. Sears handled the divorce. I was very surprised at how affordable his fee was.
Carl Sears represented me during my recent divorce. Not only was he professional; he was personable as well. He was easy to reach during a time of crisis, which was imperative for me. He provided assistance backed with years of knowledge, experience, and expertise; which allowed us to negotiate a settlement that was more than favorable for me and my children. Speaking with Carl was like talking to a long time friend; he snapped me back to the reality of my situation when my logic and sense waivered. His professional support helped me to heal quickly and maintain strength thru the entire journey! Carl and his law partner, Mr. Timothy Daines, were also understanding and willing to work with me regarding payment for services rendered; which helped relieve so much additional stress and pressure during an already tumultuous time. Highly recommended and will most definitely seek his assistance in the future if I am ever in need! After all, having full physical custody requires court approval for any moves out of Michigan. Carl will be the first one I call!
I arranged with Carl Sears to process a divorce for my Hazel Park son whose wife left him about 10 years. I agreed to pay the cost of the divorce and provide any information Mr. Sears needed that my son could not provide. I was very happy with the fee Mr. Sears requested and I immediately mailed him a check for the entire costs. He kept me up to date as the process evolved and when all was ready for a court appearance, he picked up my son at his Hazel Park home and took him to the Pontiac courthouse because my son does not have a vehicle. I talked several times on the phone during the process and had the impression he was a highly experienced divorce attorney. I would highly recommend him to anyone, regardless of residence, who is looking for a good divorce attorney whether it be the husband or wife and with or without children.
Almost 10 years ago, I found myself smack dab in the middle of a custody dispute. My son was nearing his first birthday, and I was nearing my first experience with the hell that accompanies a custody battle - basically a fight for everything in the world that matters to any parent. I was at a loss for what to do, and scared out of my mind. I found Carl in, believe it or not, the Yellow Pages. Without a clue as to what lie ahead, I picked up the phone and made the call that saved my life, and more importantly my child's life. Throughout the years, Carl has fought on my behalf through many court appearances. More than that, he counseled me legally and personally. He has become not just my attorney, but a friend; albeit, not a friend that I hang out with, but a confidant that cares and gives everything he has to ensure the legal battlefield is an obstacle that I understand, and am able to adequately navigate though each time I find myself back in the courtroom. I was lucky to have found him, and couldn't be happier with the services he has provided throughout the years. He is not only an attorney, he is an advocate through and through.
Mr. Sears has helped me over a period of years with multiple complex issues. He is attentive to my priorities, uses his experience to guide me through the sometimes-confusing legal process, and is organized and thorough. Mr. Sears he has good built good relationships with the Judges and Referees which have been very helpful as he represents me. Often, a quick phone call has nipped a small issue before it morphs, and Mr. Sears is efficient in handling whatever arises. You will find him to be a knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy guide.
I hired Carls Sears to handle my divorce. I was extremely dissapointed in the way he handled my case. My husbands attorney prepared most of the documents and Mr. Sears did little to help me diciphor through the legal jargon and protect me. I was told I had better look over everything and make sure it was ok before signing. Pages were missing in my decree pertaining to child custody. The cost was nearly three time was he told me it would be. I would never recommend this attorney to anyone, even my ex-husband!
